I'm not going to have near as much done as I'd hoped, but there are still quite a few changes since the last time anyone saw Orange.

Everyone better prepare to be impressed

Yep got a few more things to do if work lets me off ever. Finally got my discount card so I picked up some struts for cheep. Also ordered BRAND new sail panels from Fiero Sails they look beautiful. Couple other things nothing too drastic but maybe I can be one of the nice cars one day like Amber, Kevin and Jscott.

Notice to all Procrastinators!!!

I just got off the phone with Jennifer at America's Best Value Inn... and ALL the double rooms have been booked.

What remains are the rooms with single king sized beds... they are at the excellent $43.99 rate. (thanks Tim!)
(they still have 45 of them available.)

Stephen, you and I scored the LAST twin bed room (unless someone cancels).
The good or bad news, depending on if it is a big deal, is that it is a smoking room.
Given the state of my leaky valve guides... I guess that is appropriate.

Also, revin, if Amir shows up... I may have to change my vote.... Red is prettier than Silver.
(read & post in my rant)

Sounds good me on the room, as long as its cool and the bed is soft it works for me. My car will be the sme as it was the last show with only the interior being changed up a little and the hood that most have already saw.

We're (all the Friday Dallas people I believe are journeying together) planning on being in Waco by 4:00 (and check in at the hotel starts at 3:00)... were we going to meet at the designated meeting spot that early or shall we pick another spot (hotel, food, or something in that vicinity) to meet up early then travel together to the evening's get together?

Were we eating at the bar, or just hanging out there? I think 4pm is a little early to arrive at a bar, so I was thinking maybe all the early comers should meet at the hotel to check in then maybe go get some dinner before heading to George's... ?

George's has good food if anyone wants to eat there. I am planningon getting there between 5 and 6. I didn't realize some of y'all would be getting to Waco that early. If you would like, I can see if there are some things to do Friday late afternoon while we wait on the others to arrive, and I can be in Waco earlier if need be.

Amber, your earlier post stated we are meeting in Alvarado on I-35 at the McDonald's at 3:30 on Friday. We can't (well me, anyway) can't make Waco by 4:00 - I'm in a 4 banger, remember!

So, once again: Where/when do we all want to get together for the caravan to Waco?

Yes, Ambers math is a bit off. I'd say about 45min to an hour from Alvarado so we'll be at the hotel by 4:30, if John can keep up. So about 5:30/6 at Georges for dinnining sounds good. Gives us a little time to check in and settle.

3:30 Alvarado
4:30 Hotel
5:30 Georges
6:00 Drunk

We tend to get a little overexcited when the events get this close... just wait and see how bad it gets next week

All I have left to do is repaint my armrests, get my brakes working, strap my glasspack up, and clean!

So are we thinking it's going to be hot, cold, or raining?

Oh, it must be that time for the weather prediction. I'm going with a high of 77 on fri 74 on sat and 102 on sunday, with a couple clouds here and there.

Sorry for my terrible misspellings John, I was home schooled.

They should set aside one of the rooms for us, or at least a number of big tables. Will be calling them on Monday to "remind" them and do the final preps.

Not everything has worked out the way I wanted it too...but I have learned a LOT and if anyone lets/wants me to do something like this again, it will be better.

No, Crickets is where we had the meeting. George's is just a few blocks down south from the Hotel. I wouldn't even get back on 35, just stay on the access road. I doubt you could miss it Kevin...just look to the west (that would be to your right) at (I believe) the second red light after you head south from the hotel.

I will probably be there a little earlier than planned...if the boss will let me go early....
