Wow I dunno those factory seats look pretty nice. I want to convert my whole interior to gray/black. And those seats look like they would fit in nicely. But for now I'm lacking money to even make you a low offer. As for selling those for enough to buy Mr. Mikes straight out I think that seems a bit too high of a price. Those seats I'm sure are most likely worth over $300 but I'm not so sure that they would be worth the $700+ dollar price tag for Mr. Mikes.

WOW. Those are really nice. On the car, they're worth more than Mr. Mike's (IMO anyways. I don't know which people like more). But off the car, you can probably get around $400 for them.

The originals will eventually be worth far more than Mikes could ever be, I would be tempted to get another set of seats to re-cover with Mikes and store the originals in a safe place (like my car! LOL). Right now it's probably just based on personal preference, until fiero's finally start appreciating (maybe another 10 years!).

Keep the stock covers for their value in the future. They look great! If you're not getting Mr. Mikes or some other skins, consider some cheap seat covers for most of your driving to protect your investment in the stock seats. They could easily pay for themselves in terms of preventing wear/damage to the originals.

That price is absolutely CRAZY! I bought mine for 425.00 dollars three years ago. And there is very little leather in the seats, only the front seating area. Looks like I'm going to start trying to make the seats myself. Practice, practice and more practice with the sewing machine.

Mr. Mike's seats are super high quality. But it's not the leather that's driving up the price...it's the foam. There was a world wide shortage of foam and it got really expensive all of the sudden.
This was in the Sealy quarterly report.
"as a result of a shortage of TDI, the petrochemical used in the production of polyurethane foam, temporary disruptions in its manufacturing production schedules may occur. According to McIlquham "the recent hurricanes in the Gulf Coast caused extensive damage to petrochemical processing facilities which have resulted in a temporary foam shortage that is affecting North America furniture and mattress manufacturers."

whats the foam for? do i need the foam? is that for rebuilding the seats? cause my seats are already perfect. the car has 44 thousand miles on it so the seats have barley ben sat in.

The covers come with a thin foam backing to help them keep their shape. Just like the original covers.

I had the same leather/suede seats in my '87 GT and they were sweet. Except for the fact the drivers suede as worn/torn, so I put seat covers on. I would say to recover to the factory spec's.

after owning 6 sets of these seats and driven many miles in them to boot. Leather seats are niuce but the suede looks nice. But the suede gives you what i like to call hard but. They are not comfortable at all for long journeys longer than 100 miles i would say.
