Depends on when...I think Friday nights are better for me but, one or two Saturday's or Sunday's are possible too. If you wait till November, I plan on mine being re-painted.
P.S. Anyone near me have a Hood ,R/S Front fender ,Head light assembly and front nose for a 84 ??? I crashed mine a few weeks ago and I would like to make it look decent again !
P.S.S. Will the same parts for an 87 work ? I like the look of the front end better anyway ?

Well, I like to meet up with folks and hang out as well. Anything on the south side of indy is great for me, since I'm coming up from the southern direction, but Indy is nice and central, I can make it to pretty much any part in Indy in an hour or so.
If you wait long enough, I might even be able to drive my Fiero to a meetup, as soon as my headers are here, test fit, coated (in Piqua, OH) and finally installed
Otherwise I am not ashamed to come in my cavy while the Fiero is down.
P.S. Beer is good. So are hot wings. Sushi sounds interesting.... mmmm...beer.
If people want to meet up in downtown-type locations, there is the Rock Bottom that I know of, and a little pub called Loughmillers (sp?) about 2 blocks away from Rock Bottom (between RB and the state museum on that same street -- sorry, the name escapes me at the moment).
Southside is also great for me. I'm driving my beater Fiero right now cause i'm in the middle of dropping a 3800SC into the one with airride so I probley won't be driving that one for a good 2 months. I'd be up for getting together if we can get some people to go...last time we tried to get Fieros to meet up we ended up with two Fiero's and two Cavilier's hahaha.

Sounds right, I found Loughmiller's on accident one day
I don't spend much time in Indy since I live a bit south of there, but downtown is fun to walk around.
Photo Op: Fiero's on the Circle

^ I remember that, I was one of the Cavalier's, something about fixing some brake gremlins on my fiero. Got them fixed, drove it for like 2 months, then took it down to do headers and an alternator

It would be hard to park us all on the circle, not sure how to get permission for a photo shoot but it would be cool.
I work downtown, so i see washington street every day. ( actually, right across the street from laughmillers )

For the downtown possibilities...where could we all meet to see each others cars? White river state park comes to mind, followed by a short trip downtown to ???? Greenwood Hooter's does have parking. I am not as familiar with the west, east and north sides.

The only places i can think of downtown to park out in the open would be the arbys on south street, or perhaps TGIF on west street. Most of the surface lots are long gone and now are garages. ( though i get free parking, doubt most of the rest of you do )
Didnt know whiteriver park had parking, i always just walk over, but thats a good idea.
No matter what, if we go downtown need to check the convention/game schedule. I dobut any of us want to just sit in traffic...
Im also considering setting up a small simi private webpage we could use to post things like meetings so noone misses them... Worth the trouble?

AMEN to that, not to mention they seriously jack the parking price for those of us that have to pay.

Well, we could get an authorized member (or a couple) and actually use the Club Anouncements section here on PFF... We could even use Cliff's event calender. I'm not against having a separate web page also, but I don't know if we should jump the gun with that either.
Then there's the thing of do we want to be that organized? (things like club president, events director type people and so forth, they don't have to be called that either, but those would be the effective capacities) -- well, I'm not against that really. Being an official-like club might eventually open doors for us as well (like an Indy circle photo shoot -- I would bet that the city would be more willing to give permission to an established group than just a bunch of individuals). Businesses (restaurants, Sonic for example?) would also be more likely to tolerate a club (ostensibly with a code of conduct).
I dunno, a club sounds like fun, especially if we do regularly scheduled events, cruise-ins and so forth. We are a little spread out in the state, but most of us (it seems) are at least within an hour of Indy, so that's not too bad.
Anyway, that's what I think.

My 86 GT is sitting in storage just ouside Portland, IN, http://www.cardomain.com/ride/523624 I'm still here in Japan (5 yrs and counting) I was a member of SOFA (Southwest Ohio Fiero Association)out of Dayton. It was ran by a lady named Kathy (Kat). I think she's "84Indy" on PFF.
You know, the more I think about it, the cooler the idea of a club sounds. I'm thinking tech days (AKA fix/modify the broken car), Autocrosses (not organizing our own necessarily, but showing up as a group at regional events) and things like that.
Also: barbecues, cruise-ins, cruises in general, fun scenic driving days (Every play on 446 between Bloomington and US 50? ) -- maybe we should put this together, so we can have a group drive up the Walk of the Pegasus on the way to the Fiero 25th Anniversary show.

another good place to cruise is down US 31, mostly from greenwood to downtown. You guys should join this forum as well, www.indycarz.com. There is a ton to people on there thats into cars in Indiana. They set up different meeting spots and other stuff now and then. I'm FieroGT on there
Hay I saw a red and silver GT looked like an 85 Headed south of indy on I-75 about 2 this afternoon anyone here, and Sorry I wasnt in my Fiero, I was in my JB hunt truck, I also saw a Yellow Coupe brokedown on 275 Over in Kentucky.

Only bad thing about that is as you get up near the strip the road gets pretty shabby..

Hmm 'fix the broken car'.. How about 'install the engine'? Though im joking, i do still have an engine i need to get in my blue GT before winter hits. Been lazy getting it back in, now i get to pay the price.

I sort of forgot about the club announcements here. That would work too since it was more 'just to keep in contact' then something elaborate.. if things really take off then we could throw together some sort of page like they have up in illinois.
I know that buffets around town often set aside a small area for clubs, if they call ahead. The indiana vette club used to meet down at one in columbus ( or at least i saw a plaque for it on the wall.. ) And as long as everyone is eating they would love the business
Photo shoot on the circle? Dont hold your breath, even if we are organized i doubt Mr Bart would let a few fieros ake over the circle.. Not enough money in it for him.. Need to attract crowed of paying customers for him to be interested. Hmm i wonder about the track.. they might be a bit more understanding..
Formal organization? Might be step 2, as first we all have to start getting together somewhere on a regular basis
Oh, and im also game for within hour or so from downtown as our target .. Im 15 miles south anyway, so whats a few more if need be?

Hey, is this just gonna be open to those of you in Indiana? We're about an hour and a half away from Indy and know the area pretty well...Max lived there for several years while we were dating a long time ago... laugh... coming up on our 30th wedding anniversary in Dec. so that pretty much tells you how long ago its been...
If we have enough notice, we can probaby attend.. the whole family has a fiero... well, mine's still being put back together yet.. (see 88 junkyard save) Fridays would work better for Max since Thursday/Friday is his weekends... Sat. he works till 4 pm or until he gets home.. So we might be able to swing one or two fieros... who knows.. maybe 3... lol.. depends on the kid's work schedules and such... but I know they'd enjoy it too... anyway... LMK... thanks.

K, I nominate myself as President of the new Central Indiana Fiero's Association. I can put together a website with local contact information, plan meetings at restaurants, misc shows, and IRP events. Eventually I can put together mailers + mags if it catches on. I plan to go to a lot of shows once my Fiero is done, so I can represent the area along with willing participants.
Spring would kick off the event schedule, and we'd have get togethers on each side of town to be fair to all. Plus, Spring is when I project to have my dream car show ready.
All in favor, post "Aye!"

Works for me, i honestly dont have the time to run the thing.. I would if no one else would/could, but id rather just be a member at this point as it wouldnt be fair to the others with how much time i could put into it...
And i doubt mine will ever be show cars, so it will be up to others to 'represent' us

laugh...well here (Indy) is closer than there (Chicago) for us... but we did make it to Fierorama last year, and hope to make it next year... too much stuff to do this year... my car is looking like a car instead of a striped down piece of .. well you get the idea... even with the layer of dirt all over it... and I'm trying not to get excited over the prospect of actually being able to drive it, or it being pretty much finished because I know it still has a lot of work to be done to it yet... like the entire interior... lol.. and patience is not my strong point!!
