Not just paint, they build the whole car. They actually get these cars shipped in brand new on car haulers and then tear them apart and build the rally cars from the ground up.
They build Buffum's cars? What's the company name?

It was great to speak to you again Steve. I am looking foreward to getting Alayne's Fiero up for her paint job.
Hi Doug - I worked for John Buffum for about seven years in just about every capacity. Now I rent most of his shop and run my own Subaru/Audi tuning shop, and do restoration and paint work as well. I also worked for Vermont Sportscar for about a year, and I worked with Prodrive while they were here as well. I still work with Lance Smith at Vermont Sportscar quite a bit. I'm heading out to Pike's Peak in a few weeks with Vermont Sportscar for the hillclimb. I also take care of Matt Iorio's Subaru at 10 events throughout the season. I keep quite busy!
Thanks for all the compliments on Steve's car. It was a real pleasure to do that job - it was time consuming but Steve was so excited and happy with the results it certainly made it all worth it. It's great to get a chance every once in a while to do something wild like that. Keeps things from getting boring!
Later on after it had been home for a bit it was then time to focus some attention on the interior. The interior wasn't bad but it certainly wasn't anything great either. So, Alayne and I started finding Tiger material
LOL thats funny. That was my next post. "All you need is some tiger fur now". I had black and white tiger fur in my lime green truck and zebra fur in my dually .

Here are scans of some of the pics that my mother took of my air brushing the Tiger image. Sorry for the darkness but it was very overcast and actually rained on us a little quite a few times, which made for an interesting day of trying to get stuff done on the Fiero like airbrushing a picture.

just for future reference spraying brake/parts cleaner on the old carpet makes removal of the carpet a snap. spray it directly on the carpet and it soaks through and releases the adhesive

I must say, that of all the fieros that you have posted pics of over the years, this is by far the coolest paint job yet. Should be an attention getter for sure.
