i wanna see the finished product before i make a 100 percent commitment but if they hold up and bolt on fine and line up, you can put me down for a set

still working on it... as for it lining up.. that will be up to you, you drill the holes on the car/door then bolt them up.
Sorry I did not get back with you. I thought I used to get an email when there was a post on the subjuct, so I did not check back.
Try this photo for starts.
I am not sure where the stock door would be at.
Thank you Ed
all i'm worried about is the room from the fender to the frame, everything else looks like it would work fine, actually from what i can tell from the pic, they should work...

You say: all i'm worried about is the room from the fender to the frame. I don't know where to take this dimension. What part of the frame and fender do I use?
Without a stock Fiero to compare with I don't know. Doors and hinges are stock but I believe my outer door panels and fender is higher than stock by at least 1 1/2".
Depending on the pivot point of the hinge the door could crush my fender? If the pivot point was raised by 1 1/2" maybe would work (dimension is a guess)?
Need a photo like mine of a stock fiero to compare heigth, or a photo of a measuring points.
My hinge is stock and photo is from hinge to top of door.
From stock door to outer skin.
Thank you Ed

ok, i need to know the space on the inner side of the fender. from the inside fender wall to the frame where the door bolts on.
Do you have any photos of a stock car for me to compare to? The only way I could get what you are asking for is to remove the inner fender. I would like to see the lambo door up and the distance between the door and fender. I can't compare but I think my fender is 1 1/2" higher and also my door, that would mean I would have to have 1 1/2" more clearence. I will call around to the junk yards to find a Fiero to look at (but from what I hear you can not go back into the yard anymore, plus we have 6" of snow) and take the same dimensions of a stock car.
By the way it looks I will have to remove my complete frontend (one piece) to install the hinge and adjust. Removal of the front end will not happen, too many things to line up again.

you MIGHT be able to do it with only taking the doors off.... only problem is you have to drill the holes..
i'm pretty sure they will work from what i can see.. we can wait and see for sure after i'm done.
impossible? never... lol thats an idea... after i get them done, i should actually have a working prototype next week been having trouble with the pivot point on the vertical part, but i came up with a little different design i have made in wood, now to make it in steel...
btw, those butterfly doors would be just like an add on to the lambo hinges

would you rather me get the struts for you, or pay 80-100 less and find struts yourself? this might speed things up, because i dont have the $$$ to buy the struts in bulk yet, so it will take a little longer if i get them. Midshipman Easy should be able to give you the part #'s for the struts after i send him a set.

you will, like i said.. i'll be sending them to Midshipman Easy and he can tell you what he thinks about the kit and everything and he'll make a build thread or something... they will be powdercoated too.

do you know the open and closed length of the strut and the force you need? if so, i may be able to help out with a better price.
i still need to look around a little and find the right length, but there will be 4 struts total, 2 for each door and they will need to be around 10-14"(maybe a little more?) opened. i found a place to get them in bulk but it has a min. order of $500 otherwise it will cost me about 100 a kit just for the struts(which i dont have right now). open for suggestions
I am still interested with struts if I can find some photos of how high the fender is stock compared to mine. The front of my door might be the same but fender ................ I don't know???? Here is a photo of my fender I just need the same photo of a stock fender. Hate to find this out the hard way.

How the hell did you get it to an 85 degree angle, with 2 struts, and manage to fit it in the fender.. that would be a massive swing bar on that hinge of yours.... How about asking these questions (When) you have the door issues worked out first... You'll figure out why I say this when you actually have a car to work on... Good luck on the 85 degrees.. lol
