Do you think that the '70's Firebird Pegasus concept badge have an influence or is connected with the Fiero badge as we know it (on the production car)?

Now based on the fact Pontiac owned the rights to the name and they had a Bill Mitchell Ferarri engined show car I would say it was based on that car but the drawing was a new design done well after the original car. I exchanged e mails with the many who drew the Fiero emblem design and he is one of the people that was a great help on me getting info.
Many people don't understand if they don't know Pontiac history many of the names are reused show car names over the years. They register the rights to them and pull them out and use them on new show cars or production cars. Pegasus is no different just as Fiero was used in 1968 on a FIrebird show car.
I just never knew why after they designed the emblem they dropped the name?
Many times names owned by a comapny are the only ones considered when naming a car. It is hard and takes time to clear a name that can be used. It is much easier to keep a list of names and draw from it and use it.
