No more taking apart. No more excuses. No more inability to envision the project and lost focus. You all are probably sick of seeing me posting things in progress, or various states of disassembly. I know my stupid Fiero has been a long, long(repeat as many times as you want) time coming...yes I've made fruitless promises and statements, and for those I apologize.
Of course, the car is no where near done, but I'd like to make an actual build thread since building is actually happening...hope you're not sick of build threads.
So I'd like to make a final, yet first, promise that tomorrow you'll see a Fiero go up and down on air bags. Sneak peak later tonight.
Thanks for putting up with me

Nice rack. Rebuilt with Rodney's Bushing(thanks Adam)
Control arms post POR-15 disaster. Nothing like doing things twice. Arms were POR'd then etched and painted...actually quite durable! Next time around I'll invest in a powdercoater, but they look purdy anyway.
Lets see what we can do about ugly wheelwells....Hmmmm.... I suppose with airbags, people will be looking

Hey, it's almost all been done before anyway DRA, except for the bags If that is a FieroStore Control arm bolt, check it's length. They swear theirs is the correct length, but the stock is 1/2" shorter. It looks like if used it would hit the shock.
Gotta go to home cheapo and get more air fittings. At the moment I'm using 3/8" 165psi line temporarily. I'll get some heavy air brake line later.

It looks like you will win the highest front end "hop"! Man, those bags wil catapult the front end way off the ground!!! And @ 165psi??? Could there be a bit of way overkill here??
looks real good though. why do you hate the undercoating???

There were some who said bump stops weren't necessary. This is without the inner wheelwell plastic and with bump stops that are compressing way too much...if I didn't have them I'd be resting on the tire.
And up... This is with more pressure than yesterday and seems like the maximum. 5" of travel!
Jake...thanks for the animation. I do have a short clip of it I'll have to upload.
Avengador...note the whole image is twisting too. It doesn't look that bad in person. I will have to put the camera on a tripod and air it up and down to show the toe change.
The front is interesting to watch. There is definetly a "sweet spot" in the swing before extreme negative camber occurs.
Today we got the car into my "garage" where it will go back on jackstands for a while.
Just an update...gas tank was coated with an ugly thick layer of undercoating. Tank was/is a little rusty, but solid. Took way too long to remove the undercoating and clean it up. Took some nasty paint stripper, powerwashing and wire wheelingit to get it off ( no sparks please!)
I POR15'd the upper portion of it and tomorrow, the lower portion gets it. I'll probably replace the pump while it's apart. I'm going to try to finish the cleaning this week so I can move on. Unfortunately the engine bay needs to be redone, but that will wait till the winter.
