It looks like I will have my Fiero back on the road sometime in the next week. Sadly because of my son's football schedule my saturdays are taken up until the end of October. I am available Sundays though.

OK, it looks like we're not going to get a club or whatever going in northern Va since hardly anyone wants to commit to meeting on any particular day. Oh well, i guess was worth the try. I suspect there's one or two out there they would still like to get together, if so send me an e-mail rspiderii@aol.com.

Just wondering, is it carved in stone now, is this Feiro club, group or whatever idea dead? Too bad, seemed like we had enough to make it happen...............

I haven't been through the entire thread, but what is your plan? I'd like to make it down, over or wherever if possible. My "other" project is almost road-worthy.

Cool, at least a few of us are still here. I have 86 back together agian. If it's not too far for you to get your ride on the road, maybe we can set a date to meet when it's done. Since it's just the few of us, you guys can come over to our place. Lots of parking etc. Would like to meet before the weather turns losey, ALso, are any of you thinking about Daytona this year? I may want to go to show my car and what we sell.

I still don't know if I'm going to buy anything but I do enjoy pistol shooting recreationally. It's just a lot of money to plunk down that could be spent on my Fiero, like a Fancy Pants intake hah.

And you won't get anything from me at gun point either, so save your money for the car. May as well throw a date out there, so what's the consensus (dang wish i could spell beter) on next Sunday morning?

I would never point a gun at another person and I probably won't carry it if I do buy one, I was just making a comparo cause it's the only Fiero things I could think or that costs as much as a pistol.
Next sunday, The sunday after turkey day should be good for me.

I was just kidding you about arming you car. I also like to shoot, but don't own anything other than a co2 rilfe. When I was a field engineer i use to work all kinds of crazy hours, and thus never wanted a gun in the house. Did'nt want to get shot by the wife or kids at 3 in the morning. My daughter, all 5 ft of her is quite a good shot with pistols, even 357s and such.
So much for Firearms talk, back to the other F word, Fieros. Do you guys want to meet at my place? Be on the way for the charlottesville fellow. Just dont expect much with seeing our little manifold and headers shop, and I do mean little. I hope we hear from sax on his overheating issue so we can help him out.

Thanks, guys. I am working on the heating problem at https://www.fiero.nl/forum/Forum2/HTML/078365.html - so it should not be long now. I picked up two new (and correct) radiator caps tonight and they go on tomorrow. If that doesn't help, the thermostat comes out to see if that was the problem. Maybe I need a high-flow thermostat to go along with my electric water pump...
The other job to do is to find an axle locally since I have a small leak in the CV boot. Everyone is out of them here. Perhaps a temporary CV boot will take care of it long enough to cruise around with you guys the weekend after Thanksgiving - if that's the plan.
I'm up for meeting people in the area. Saturday or Sunday is probably good. Guess I'll have to give Joe (RandomTask) a ride though, since his car got smashed.

Ok, then are we're shooting for next Sunday morning? I suggest we use the Central Park Shopping Maul, perhaps near Office Depot, always lots of space there. Central park is on rt-3 and is right at the exit for 95. Next thing, what time in the morning? I'm thinking something like 9 or 10? That way we can talk cars, maybe take drive along twesting rirver road towrads Chancelorville and then hit one of the resturants back at the maul for lunch. But that's just my thoughts. So. 8, 9 10. what do you folks think. BTW: I know some of us would like to make it home by one to watch football. I have TVO so it dont matter to me.

OK lets keep this list going, Add your name if you think yu can make it next sunday and if 9 is ok:
Francis T 9 ok prizm-bluegt 9 ok
9's probably a bit early for us guys down here on the Peninsula. It's a little bit of a hike at that point. 11 or so is probably better. The football game should be on at any place that remotely resembles a bar anyway, and I guess it's broadcast on the radio. The game is going to play no matter what, and watching it on TV at home isn't going to affect the outcome. I'd rather spend time hanging with Fiero people. If the goal for the day is going to be "get home in time for the game" then perhaps we should do it another day.

Had a strange problem with my 86GT turbo. I was taking it for a little test drive after messing with the idle some. Got on it a bit and when it was at something like 5 - 6k and 7+ lbs of boost I heard very very oud boom! Damn, I let off, looked at my oil pressure gauge and when it didnt drop, I sighed a bit. Got on it again, seemded fine until the boost was suppose to cut, but it didnt. The gauge just went down to zero vac. So I figured, oh well no big deal you just blew another hose (between the intercooler and the pipe the TB) off the intercooler. Pulled in my driveway, popped the hood and saw all the hoses intack? My blow-off valved and everything also else looked fine too? Damn, could I have blown my turbo somehow? Well I took a much closer look at things including my intercooler, put my hand between it and my back window and found the problem. One of the two 2 1/2 " end caps blew off the intercooler. An easy fix, but sure sounded bad. I'll fix tuesdays. Will be at the meet sunday with it. BTW: How about a few more commitments for Sundays meet?

forgot to say why it happend. I had change from a absically stock set of headers to our own design. That extra flow to the turbo made for more boost, and thus instead of ruuning 5-6 lbs, I now getting like 7+ maybe 8lbs. That may sound a bit low to you guys, but I'm also using 9.5 pistons.a nd not 8.5
