I own a 1981 Ferrari 308 with a Fiero rear end, engine and tranny. Scurvy told me about your meet in another thread,. Wish I could be there, but Sunday's out for me. Please keep me posted if you do another one.
Also, do you guys know of any good Fiero specialists in or around this area? I live just outside Richmond. I need to find a shop knowledgeable about Fiero's to help me with some rear suspension upgrades I want to do. I can be contacted at timw@erols.com
Thanks

I would recommend me, but I haven't gotten my shop going yet. I'm going to be opening one in the Hampton Roads area at some point. Just gotta get my stuff together and get someone to give me the money to do it.

Well, I only got my axle and seals a few minutes ago, so don't plan on me coming. It's too risky to test drive it on a long trip like that. It's over 1 1/2 hours just to get there.
Maybe next time after I have some confidence in this thing. I'm bummed, but having you guys held up for my Purple-Pain would be a bigger bummer.
One bright spot, though: Take lots of photos and I can do a writeup in Domestic Driver for our January issue! Let me know if you are interested.

lets confirm on saturday who is going since some people have a long ride and I would hate to have them do that if no one is going. It's still a on for me weather permitting. Hopefully we get another rainy day. It would seem like Carlisle then.
So are we on for Sunday pending any horrific weather changes? Current forecast puts it at "nice out" for then. Let me know.

I was thinking it would be easyest if we just meet at the Ruby Tuesday right there at the light see map I sent. But we may have to send someone to target in case someone doesnt see todays posting. BTW: can someone post the map sent?

Thanks doby for the google map... I sent my home made map to all but one of you, (he had no email here). 14 people showed and interest in this meet, and I think we have like 7 or 10 that SAID they are coming. As for me, even 5 or 6 would be worth it. Be really neat if we get 10 or more Fieros there! BTW: You can see Ruby Tuesday on your right as you come up to the first light after you get off 95. Just make that right and then another quick right and you're there.

Sorry, but the overheating problem was not solved by fixing the direction of the fan. I did get about 15-20 minutes out of it before the temp crept up to 230. Damn!
I'll spend tomorrow playing around, trying to fix the problem. That's why I call her the "Purple-Pain!"
Don't forget to take some pics!

It was good chatting with you guys. My clutch was almost not disengaging at all by the time I got home. I guess I will need a new slave cylinder again.

Sorry I couldn't make it. This was the weekend my car was up on jacks while I replaced busted rear balljoints and installed new rear tierods. I got the email around 10am on Sunday, so I was kinda screwed regardless. Next up: replacing the entire rack, front tierods, and front balljoints. Then my car should be back on the road.
Sorry again guys, just caught me at a bad time (while getting super messy in the garage). Lemme know when this goes down again (so I can make repairs accordingly, haha). I'll gladly come on down with girlfriend and all

two cars followed me to my place afterwouds and I them took for a nice run on windy hilly river road. I think I went bit too fast for them through some of the turns, then I do know the road and they didnt. A one point as reached the top of a hill I just happedn to back off some, and presto, the was a cop sitting on the side of the road with his car pointed right us. Had I not backed off he would have likely had three Fieros in his his ticket book. The gods must have smiled on us. And that was not a girl, she was a very nice young lady. And she just got out of the Navy. Her and her BF both like fieros. She has her own but it wasnt ready to bring. Oh your daughter was also a very nice youg lady too.
Yeah, good thing I didn't know the way, or we probably would have gotten tickets. I'd say you weren't going fast enough, really. I was on the brakes way too much. :P It was a fun drive though.
Anyway, I put up the pics I took. They're all above 100K and I don't feel like doing thumbnails and all that, so the link is here. Enjoy.

Yeah, the last pic was on rt 3 as we were heading to Francis T's house.
Sorry about the URL. I made a typo when uploading. It's fixed now. The pictures really are here now.
