hey man, just want to say that i hope you get back on your feet soon..i would send some money, but im just barely getting by myself..being 17 and in school really limits income, working a part time job, and making car payments, insurance, cell phone, and gas pretty much runs me dry..also, saving up for that first fiero , anyways, just wanna say good luck man and to the people who are chipping in and helping him out, you guys are awesome!
Appreciate the thought, I remember what it was like being young and disposable income, well was pretty much nonexistant!

honestly i didn't have to pay anything to get it fixed. and there is no definate it'll work. i have no way to test it either so freebie in the mall it is.
It's cold, maybe not cold to a lot of you guys but it's 10:30am and its still 38 degrees, it's cold to me! Surge is on his way here, we didn't get much done yesterday due to a broken injector to rail clip and the ensuing search for a replacement but will get some update pics on tonight. Did I say it's cold?..............

I specifically asked for warmth. What happened? lol j/k I'll just carry some extra clothing with me. Don't know if we'll be able to paint anything though. It still calls for a high of high fifties to low sixties both Sat. and Sun. Shouldn't be too bad as long as the wind keeps down.

Relax! You've managed to suck all of the fun out of the room.

Hope to get out of here tonight right at five. Because I had to work until almost midnight last night, I didn't get a bag packed nor my tools. Don't know though. Boss is planning a big night tonight, so he may sleep later than usual. Hope not.

hey guys... my car should be done either today or tomorrow! welded shifter, recieved cable from a fellow forum member who is a life saver! and the wheel bearing is in the mail. right now it's 17oF here but with the wind chill it's only 1oF... not sure if i'll be able to fix it today or not but at least i have the parts! things are starting to scare me now. everythings looking up. i hope to get a sound bite of your car running by the end of the weekend. and don't forget to pre lube the engine before you start it! power drill and a spare dist will do it.
psshh.. little chilly... we got SNOW here.. 50-60 im out skating with no shirt on...
car.. well once i get the $$ for an alternator.. im gonna make alot of progress, then ill know what i need..
i was thinkging.. you goin to daytona?
Thats one of my goals for this year, to try and make Daytona and the RFTH's this year. Something has come up every year that has caused me to not make it to those events and I'm hoping this year things can't get any worse than they already are! warmed up to the low to mid 50's this afternoon, thats the kind of weather I like!

Good help is really hard to find! We just called it quits about 30 minutes ago, I'm about to hit the shower and we're headed to Nacho Momma's. Should get my sodium intake for the week in one night! Really seems like things are moving slow, had to go first thing today and pic up helicoils for one of the dang heads, exhaust manifold bolts just kept on tightening when we tried to put them on this morning. Surge an Richard took care of installing those while I put in a shift kit, touque converter lockup solenoid, and new trans filter. Surge and Richard buttoned the trans back up and put a couple of brackets on the engine. I don't push the help to much, I'm afraid they may actually ask for a paycheck if I ride them to hard!
Didn't get the chance to get a whole lot of pics, theres a chance of rain this evening so we kinda rushed around trying to get what we could done and then cleaning up. Will put the engine back on the cradle in the morning.

WOOHOO, it's starting to come back to life. Please post a pic of the engine bay when you get done. I really want to see what it looks like with those valve covers. They look "Real Nice." lol (Christmas Vacation)
I am curious if you can post a video also on youtube.com of the car running. I don't know what a freshly rebuilt engine sounds like.
Good luck!!.. Edit: I for got this | | \|/ ------------------

Problem of the day, we can't find the bolts for the A/C bracket! Everything should be there, it's not like someone would run off with the A/C bracket bolts, but we can't find them. Will be searching again tomorrow to make sure we didn't overlook them somehow.
Richard once again came into town, can't say enough about the guy, big thanks once again to him! And as always Surge has been here Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and today.
I'm still in the hole financially but it looks like the car will come together in the next couple of weekends.

i can just see them now lugging a fiero and boxes of parts on their back all the way down to the keys.... thanks for that mental image. i'm pretty sure BobadooFunk would carry the car though and leave her with the box!

did you get your pm BobadooFunk? and DRA... no more pics of the twins huh?
Just sent Boba a PM myself this evening and have'nt heard back yet. I think that was Richards last trip to Martinez Ga for a while, big thanks go out for the effort he has put into getting me going again. Looks like it might just be me and Surge from here on out. Things are looking pretty good though, the cradle should go back in this weekend and from there it should just be a matter of wrapping up a few details. Hopefully she will be running weekend after next.
My biggest hurdle right now is finding the darn bolts for the A/C mounts! We all looked for them Sunday with no luck and I did another sweep of the work area today and couldn't find them. It's like they up and walked away!
Still desperately looking for some donations on the financial front but not holding my breath, seems I've gotten about all the help in that department that I'm going to. Twelve guys have kicked in $851.13 to get this rebuild done, thats a lot more than I would have expected from twelve guys. I originally figured there would be more guys willing to chip in a few bucks here and there rather than the amount these few have been generous enough to send my way. I'm still about $400 to the bad on this but with a total of around $1500 into the whole thing $851.13 is a nice chunk of the cost. I guess it ain't over yet, maybe a few more guys will throw in.
Come on people, just a little more from each of you will put him over the top.I know there are other places to put your money, but charity begins at home, and for many of us this is our second home.
