Paypal is not going to do you any good because I just got an e-mail saying that my case is closed and they decided in my favor. Big deal, he has no money in his account so we get nothing where Paypal is concerned.

I'd have to put about a thousand dollars in the paypal account to clear your refund because the disputes put it in the negative about 700 dollars. I can send you a cashiers check...

That was my next step also Chris. I didn`t want to resort to calling in any legal action, but it`s getting pretty close to that time. And Dallas I`m not folowing you on the 1000.00 for Paypal because if you would have to put in that much money that sounds about right. You owe me 290.00 and I know you owe Chris at least that much and Australian more because he ordered leather and that comes to about 1000.00.

I had been think about ordering these, but after reading the whooooolllllle thread I said NAAAAA. I contacted Mr. Mike and he has some that he will bring to Punta Gorda show this Sunday and I am getting a real good price and he only had a few days to do it. YEAH, Mr. Mike does rock, good service, good contact, quick reply, the whole nine yards (does it take nine yards for seats?).
See ya in Punta Gorda this Sunday. By the way, the church down the street has a car show today. I thought I would go over and have a dress rehearsal, see what I see and maybe get some good ideas, there are a lot of "tuner?" cars registered. I don't know what tuner cars are, but I'll find out today.

It's when you spend a bunch of money and time on a Honda, but in the end it's still just a Honda.

I felt I couldn't just say my machine was broken. I lost momentum and just kept putting it. There is no excuse for my lies and I apologize to everyone. It was all working well and I would have finished on time. I dreaded talking to all of you everytime and just got caught up in my lie. I wasted all of your time, and I'm sorry.

You will all have pms shortly

I wish I'd known you had a problem with your machine, I have an extra one that we don't use that I would have sent to you- maybe in some kinda trade.

Well did you get them guys? Apparently my Dad left on Wednesday to Michigan(I think) for a semi or cycle convention so he isn't reachable.

I've been calling him constantly and he hasn't been answering at all. I'm pretty ticked also, because this isn't the first time my UPS store has f'ed up my shipments. I'm gunna go there and see if they can track them by insurance numbers.

The UPS store said that they cannot track by insurance unless a claim is made, and it hasn't been out long enough to open one. I did talk to my father finally, and he won't be home for a week, but his car is at the park and fly, so I am going to try and make it out there tomorrow to get my bag from his car.

I'm not being rude by saying this, but if you feel starting a claim will help then you can, but It's only working you towards a refund and nothing else. I don't know how this has happened, but I am trying and this is costing me time and money also. You all aren't the only ones losing. I had to do all of that work through alot of pain and for this to happen makes me furious.

I'm sending them out USPS Priority right when I get off work.

Nice to see all the wonderful things people are saying about me. Believe whatever you want, makes no difference to me, things can't get much worse. They are all getting they're refunds, I just need to sort out funds and whatnot. I did spend quite a bit on materials so I have to make up for that.

I have my own apartment bud. What happened is that my girlfriend picked my seats up tuesday morning and sometime between when I left for work and when she got home later that night, 3 boys from my community college came and took everything including my Formula. One of the boys used to be a good friend of mine and told me and the police all about what they were and had done and said they had planned on going to Vancouver (Canada) for spring break. I have police reports and If I can get a scanner to bring here to the shop I can post them. Eventually I will get my stuff back and you guys can just have the seats if I do, but they all will be getting a refund for now. Just need a bit of time to get money together.

There is no response to either your claim except refund or tracking. I'm in boise and my father shipped out both yours and chris' seats. I'm going to have to refund australians, since they weren't found. I did talk to my Dad and he has pictures and everything and will be posting them first chance he has. He is out of town right now on business, and chris can confirm this since he talked to my Dad's secretary. You all have a way of contacting me, you have my cell number and I have always answered/ called right back. I'm not ripping anyone off and ya this is taking way too long, but I'm doing all I can. Both of your disputes close this week, so even if you don't end up getting them you are assured a refund by paypal. I will just owe paypal a lot of money.

i have NEVER seen anybody leave such a trail of lies and deceit. you are truly pathetic.

I have been entertained by this thread to a degree. I do feel for those who have been "taken" and are trying to get their money back, however, when a deal seems to good to be true, 99.9% of the time it is! In my 39 years it has finally hit me that when you deal with the best and most reputable people and their product you will NOT be disappointed, screwed or shafted!
I dealt with Mr. Mikes and could not be more satisfied.
We all want a "good deal" but at what cost? It's always worth a few extra bucks to avoid a headache and major frustration no matter the transaction.

I agree FormulaGT and I usually try not to cut corners. I have bought Mr Mikes seat covers since all of this went down and I am very satisfied with them. I gauged these covers on Mr Mikes leather price and figured 1/2 the price for Naugahyde was probably about right. Plus, I don`t really like leather seat covers. The one positive about this is that Mr Mike has so gratiously now given Fiero owners an option for covers that didn`t exist. I admit I had second thoughts about the seat covers that I bought on this post because once I got the old ones off of my seats I realized how complicated they must be to make with all of the different pieces that they have.

MY PRIVATE MESSAGES

RideZiLightning 02-23-2007 10:57 PM

I can do those no problem. What material would like? Shipping would be around $45 for 4-10 day shipping.

RideZiLightning 02-25-2007 10:20 PM

The total after shipping would be $445. You can send a paypal payment to andjusticeforall6755@hotmail.com. In less then a week I will post or email pictures of your finished seats. Any questions?

RideZiLightning 02-27-2007 01:51 AM

Got it. I will start on them tomorrow

RideZiLightning 02-28-2007 05:11 AM

My grandma just died so I will be gone tmrw through Monday. Do you mind that the seats will get sent out in about another week?

RideZiLightning 03-16-2007 04:28 AM

I have really bad news. When I went to pick up the seats today I was informed that their new employee had forgotten your skins and left them in the bath. The leather is just completely ruined and it totally dissolved the vinyl. I am getting a full refund for materials lost but I am going to have to make you new seats. I am not going to take anymore orders until I finish them and I am paying my mother, who is a seamstress, to make one of the seats so I can get them to you as quick as possible. I am extremely sorry for everything and will do my best to get them to you swiftly. Let me know if you need anything.

Dallas

RideZiLightning 03-29-2007 09:15 PM

I'll be done with your new ones by the end of this weekend.

RideZiLightning 04-23-2007 09:44 PM

If you still want them, I can get them to you, but I understand you probably just want your money. I can have either to you by the end of the week. I'm sorry I can't sooner, I'm just in a bit of trouble now.

I got a Pm telling me that a refund was on the way with a tracking number but I still haven`t seen it yet. I read though somewhere that when something is sent Certified Mail that you only get confirmation when the letter is delivered, so I`m waiting a couple more days.

I almost ordered a set, but the first pics really bothered me on the look as far as quality. After reading all this stuff I'm really glad I didn't order. Good luck.

Dallas, I wasn`t doubting you, I just said that I had not received it yet and that I think Certified Mail only shows a delivery confirmation but I don`t think the tracking numbers do much until that time.

Okay, since this thread has already been "thread jacked" I won't feel quite as guilty, but I'll throw it out there anyway. Way back when (2002 I think) I ordered a set of leather seat covers from MrMikes. As everyone else has stated, the quality is TOP NOTCH. He is also a great guy to talk to on the phone. The only thing i noticed is that my back would get kinda sweaty in the summer time, sometimes kinda may have been and understatement.

Flash forward 3 years. I'd sold the Fiero w/ the seats and my daily driver is a Sentra. An opportunity came up where I could purchase some custom Classic Soft Trim seat covers for a good price. (Another great product BTW) After looking at a lot of the newer cars I noticed that the inserts were all perforated leather. When I ordered my seat covers I chose the perforated option for the seat inserts. WOW this makes a difference in the summer. The seats don't get as hot and the whole back sweat thing isn't nearly as much of an issue.

So, the questions goes to MrMike and anyone else. What about an option of perforated leather inserts?

JUST FYI, As a Real Estate Title Agent, everyday I send items through the USPS certified with return receipt. The receipt shown above doesn't have the USPS round red stamp on it showing that the postage has been paid, the date and time that it was paid which means that it has been put in the mail.

I'm not saying that you did or did not put it in the mail. What I am saying is that the clerk has a neat little round red stamp that they slam down on that half of the receipt you pasted above showing the date they received it into the postal system. They also scan the bar code on the other half of the receipt that is glued to the envelope that automatically enters the item into the postal tracking system showing that the post office has received the item and by that bar code it is tracked everywhere it goes. That bar code is activated as soon as it is scanned and the tracking system at the post office is updated on the internet approximately every 24 hours but to make sure you can call the postal system give them the tracking number and get a verbal confirmation of where the item is at that moment and or that item has been delivered and not wait for the internet information to be updated. When the item reaches the destination, the receiving party signs the green card that is glued to the back of the item and that green card is returned to the sender showing proof of delivery. When the postage is paid a sales receipt just like from a store is given to the party that is mailing the item and includes the scanned bar code numbers, date, time and amount of postage paid.

Eledyce
I don`t know how the Certified Mail system works but I went to the Post Office in person and the lady said she would check on it. She came back and said it hadn`t shown up in the system yet and that I could look it up on line just as she had. She didn`t say anything about knowing anything before it showed up online.
She was probably just being lazy.

Eledyce is right, it should have a stamp on it. i wonder if this is more of this kids bullshit. you could easily refund their money through paypal and it would take all of 30 seconds

I mailed something certified return receipt and just checked it and it showed the post office where it was mailed, the central facility it went through for sorting and it is now sitting at the destination post office and once it is delivered today, it will show who signed for it, date of delivery. I even printed it out for a paper trail. I will get the green card back later by return mail. Ask him for the sales receipt (just like a store receipt) showing that postage was actually paid. I can take a picutre of a money order receipt and the half of the mailing receipt with your address on it and put it here too, but that doesn't prove that I mailed you anything, Go to http://www.usps.com/ and up in the far right on the red label there is a track and confirm button, push that and put in your number and if it is in the system, it will show up. I just checked the number of 70060810000190914334 and there is no record of this item, maybe I got the numbers wrong?
