Well the car still preforms great, and even better with some small upgrades done recently (the owner doesnt want these mods leaked quite yet). Unfortunatly, this thing loves to kill transmissions and it has gone and cleaned out my colection of 4speed muncies, killing 3rd gear in 2 differnt transmissions.
Plans are in place for swapping in my 0 mileage fiero getrag 5speed, but I am not excited about it due to the fact that it is in some occations a weaker transmission.
I am curious if these transmission problems are driver realted now, or if it has somthing to do with the transmissions themselfs, IE high mileage or whatever.
my edit: I have been around 3800's for a very long time, and my group of friends that I draw information/ideas/tuning information from are much more knowlageable than myself with 3800s also. I would have to say that this is one of the first swaps done by people that are very good at l67's in stock cars.
