Hey all, great to see all the replies. And like Arn said, let us know if you will be in our city Friday night and we could all hook up for a late dinner or even just some wings. Also a cruise to the beach on Sunday is certainly not out of the question, that is if you all are not yet tired of us

I was hoping to have the car ready for the 11th but the Galway Cavendish rally was changed from the 18th to the 11th. So priority has changed to prepping the rally car. I have met some of you at Mapleview and was looking forward to this event. I even got some sweet new wheels from Drcpu, in preperation. Enjoy yourselves and I will try and keep the rubber side down this time.

I would suggest that to anyone who has spare parts, custom fiberglass, or just hard to find/rare parts should bring them to this show for swap or to sell....
Anyone have any wing stand gaskets??? Looking to buy a set to whomever might bring a pair.
To date we have over 30 cars registered for 11 Aug. This is GREAT!
If you are not yet registered, please do so this week. One of the many jobs to put on the event is to ensure we have enough of everything for the number attending. Don't worry about paying until you sign in on the 11th, we'd like to know if you are coming so we can put on the best show possible for everyone.
The weather looks good and the people so far registered are bringing some fabulous Fieros. See you next Saturday

Well, I am going in for major surgery tomorow morning (all new ball joints, all new tie rod ends), and that gives the guy a week to git'r'done--so I might actually make it in a Fiero this year !! Only thing broken right now besides the front end is a couple of marker lights, but thats nothing to keep it down ;-)

My car went up on the hoist for new ball joints and tie rods and I get a phone call that it would be a damn good idea to replace the rack at the same time.
Fortunatley, I have a spare I am dropping off after work tonight, but its really going to be iffy about it being ready for saturday.

Not sure if I'll make it folks. I've had a few things come up and I am not sure if I'll have the car out this weekend. Besides, the guys at X-treme doors have left me with a set of semi-functional doors, so there's not much to show :{

THE WEATHER looks excellent for the entire weekend, so bring some sunscreen & minimal clothing (for the ladies, that is!..no shorts for you Adam, sorry)
for the Golden Horseshoe crowd are we meeting up again somewhere along the way & when?
thanks & see you all there!

I've kinda decided I am coming home to have a few wobbly pops in front of a bonfire Saturday, so anybody wanting to tag along is more than welcome. If you want to have more than a few, I have plenty of room to pitch a tent. (actually, I have enough room to start a tent city).
Just bring your own pops or whatevers. <edit>
I'm about 10 minutes from Mackies. (or 30-40 from East Park). I'm just guessing EVERYBODY knows where Mackies is.

Well the constant rain is putting a damper on the clutch replacement so I will be there without it. If there is a cruise it will be debatable but I will be there. I will show the London flag if I have to rev her there in First gear.

Assuming mine is ready (and Jeff is busting his nuts to get me back in line so it is ready) you can ride with me. My wife now refuses to get into it and is going to follow me in the van, so I'll probably be the only guy there with my very own chase vehicle.

At most shows including SOFA Annual meets, there are trophies for the best this, the best that and sometimes hard luck one. The regular Joe with a beater does not have a chance for a prize unless it's a door prize. I have an idea. I like to donate a set of upper frame rails as a prize to the car with the worst upper frame rails. The car must be driven to the show and registered. I would like to judge these cars, along with an associate for a second opinion. You see, I like to see beaters and cars that need help. Sometimes I think the owners are intimidated by so many good looking cars and/or their peers. They forget we all (almost all) started with one that needs lots of work. I know it's kinda late, but hey gotta start somewhere. The event can be scheduled for a designated time to suit the program. The only issue that's bothering me with the rails is, I hope the winner uses them and not sell them or shelf them cuz he has no means of doing the fix, it is a lot of work. I guess we can't control that. If there is no winner, there's next year. So, any candidates?? Also thought we could hold some kind of a clinic on something simple that the novice can tackle, like the one I held at my place to replace headlight motors. This type of involvement usually motivates some people. Any input is welcomed.
ROTFLMA !!
Candidate, I'll be the hands-down winner
BUT, how are you going to inspect them? do we bring tools to take off the well liners or what?
We're planning dinner at Tiger Jack's. If folks want some r&r there is East Park http://www.eastparkgolf.com/ which has putter golf, regular golf, go-carts, rock climbing, water slides, etc.
MidEngineManiac is planning a campfire out at his place. He lives in the country just outside of Sparta where the dragstrip is.
There aren't too many folks around on Friday nite so far. Contact PBJ if you'd like to 'T' up some Friday nite fun.
Sunday, there isn't much interest in a cruise at this point. Why don't we play it by ear and see how many want a Sunday cruise when we meet on Saturday? Folks will likely know better then.
DaveEBuoy is planning a cruise for later on. He'll be filling in everybody at the show.

midenginemaniac - the rear clip has to be removed for inspection..............just kiddiiiiiing. Nothing needs to be removed, you don't need to supply anything. I will inspect the car with flash light and mirror. Remember the car has to be registered and driven to the show. The money is going to a good cause. Oscar.

Pete - my donation is minuscule relative to your contribution to the fiero community. And let's not forget the other helpers for this and other cruises, Arn, Jay and possibly others that help in the background. I enjoy the meets immensely and willing to travel every time, even if it's only for one hour meet. So, NO, thank you. Oscar.

Well it looks like I'll be able to make it. Leaving here at 6am and will be going through sarnia. Hopefully I'll meet up with some other Fiero owners along the way. Plus I have a few new mods that willl be revealed at the show.

Well the Dealership is clearing the car lot of thier cars to make room for us on the West side like the first year. The BBQs have shown up, the weather forcast is perfect other then we could use a few more clouds but hey we have trees for shade. This year is going to be huge! Got a line on a few Bikes and likely even a harly chopper too.

If you haven't registered yet, you see Ellen and Sue at the registration table. They'll sign you up and make sure you are entered for the prize draws. Yes, we have lots of prizes to be won, as well as the trophies.
If we get enough folks registered, we'll have a surprise or two, too.

I am dripping wet from washing the car in the garage, I have dog crap on my boot from doing a wheel swap, 2 fingers are bleeding from an extionsion kicking off the air ratchet, and a goose egg on the back of my head from trying to stand up under a wheel well.
Yeh, this is fun.
