Went to Bryon Dragway today after finding some of the hp that the dyno in Daytona showed we lost. But the dyno also gave us an idea where to find it. We ran three times. The first being 11.556 @ 114.12 mph, the second 11.508 @ 114.59, and after some more adjustments we were able to run our best of 11.323 @ 116.4 mph with a 0-60' of 1.491sec. Didn't hit the 10s yet -- but getting closer. We need to dyno and tune at the same time now and we should find the hp we need to get there with the changes I made this winter.

See you all at the Dells!

Did a 15.56 @ 86 last fall.. Car is an 85GT 4 speed. Has a cold air intake with K&N.. That's about it for performance mods that I know about. The previous owner had ordered a bunch of fiero store stuff on the car, so there may or may not be some un-visible mods.....

It was on a beltronics accelerometer so I don't know if it counts or not......

HI Pat,I still lift the front end and have done everthing to stop it but put wheely bars on it.But then I keep adding power, the axles are stock believe it or not.The transaxle is all buildt up with extra clutch packs,Moser final drive, high preasures and 3.69 gears, the gears are the secret to not breaking cv joints, now everyone knows.

Higher gears help stop breaking? 3:69's arnt to light.

If you dont mind me asking, where did you get your trans? Was it built in a shop? Or did you buy it from intense.

Mr.Pat,we buildt the transaxle ourselves,I have a friend that's an ASE mechanic and rebuilds transmissions, everything is beefed up that can be.The higher the gear ratio the easier and faster the engine will rev up putting less preasure on the drive line,it's a leverage thing.

WOW--Seems like either the swap has some issues or maybe just a first time driver. That is a horrible time for a S2 3800SC on the auto. What was the main hold back?

My first time on a dragstrip was last month. I have about 20 passes on an 1/8 mile but last night was the first on a 1/4 mile.

What is a good time for a bone stock 3800SC II auto?

Any tricks to speeding up my time (other than mods)?

here is mine. 12.8 @ 108. SC3800. I got one run after driving 40 miles to the track in 97 degree weather. Let it sit for a hour after the first run and shattered the getrag shifting from 1st to second.
