If this site was using coldfusion, I'd write a DB driven page to do it here. I could put it on my home server, but I don't know if Cliff would link to it?
Whoa... I started this yesterday (10/10/03) after seeing the first post in this topic. I must of missed your post.

Not sure what you mean by this Archie. I just asked a simple question if non forum members should be added. I think I will add this one, since I have only gotten one SBC to add to list. And if you think I was biased because it was a SBC?!? Then you need to look again. At the time I did not know the powerplant.
ARGHHHHHH!!!! I 've been bumped from the top ten!!! Thanks alot Darth!
Sorry NOS...
I must say that I am pleased to see so many 3800 guys on the list, and doing well for that matter... It also looks like the 4.9 caddy's are showing some impressive numbers as well so us little V6 guys better be on the lookout.
I did about 9 passes down the 1/4 this weekend at Cordova but a combination of high winds and bad fuel kept me from topping my best. Still ran a 12.90 @ 104mph after leaving it run in the staging lanes for 20 minutes which tells me that for some reason my car runs its best when hot??? Go figure.
Anyway, I am going to try an alcohol injection kit out next year as the Turbo Buick community seems to be having really good luck with them. Word on the street is that alky injection coupled with just 93 octane pump gas is about the same as running 105 octane race gas. Best part is a $4 gallon of distilled alcohol supposidly lasts about a month which beats the cost of $3.50+ per gal of 105 race gas.

YEah, I caught that after I posted. Thanks for the info Splinez. Darth, we had a turbo Supra n the shop this past week. It had a sticker stating NOT to race the motor until it had sufficient time to warm up. Think there is a reason for that that would explain why you run better on a warm motor?
I made an offer here, a few months ago in this section to give the driver of the fastest MPH Fiero in 2003-a $100 bill and a trophy. Just for the fun of it. Thus far, no one has taken me up on it. Accordingly, I have canceled the trophy order. Evidently, no one wants $100-no strings attached. Do a search in Gen Fiero Chat/entire thread, for "Worlds fastest Fiero". But, my word is good. If I get no responses via PM before midnight Dec 31 2003, I will take the highest mph on this list & send the $100 bill to that person. I'll not bother yall with this again.

That would make you the only one on this Forum that didn't know that the Troy Ritchie car was a SBC.

Your original post didn't say PFF members only. & we all know you're unbiased.
In this case, so far, the fastest Fiero doesn't happen to be on PFF. So he doesn't count. Make a rule to exclude him or segregate him. Whatever you do don't put him on the regular list..... that would negate your reasoning for starting the list in the 1st place.
Yeah I know, you let the Kid on your list. He's too popular for you to find an excuse to exclude him. This guy its easy to exclude, he isn't on the Forum, or is he? What will be the reason for exclusion of the next one that comes forward?
It's no wonder most of the V-8 guys don't participate in your "my car is faster than your's" threads. They know they won't be treated fairly.

Is this the fastest MPH as in mph in the quarter, or fastest top speed?

You have had a chip on your shoulder toward me ever since LiLDV1L(my brother) beat your Stinger at Carlisle two years back. Time to let it go man.
LOL, Give me a break man, you gotta come up with something better than that.
Everyone knows I could care less about throphies. (Although I did beat Phil by one vote that year).
If that's the only thing you can come up with then You're the one who needs to let it go.
You can go back to your 3800 thread now, I won't bother you anymore. It just seems kinda funny that the only one you wanted to exclude from your list is both a SBC car and not an active PFF member. It just seems pretty convenient.
So go ahead on, have a good time.

I think the reason for that might be summed up in the following quote (no I didn't write it):
quote
Seems like a lot of people get some kind of commission from Archie for pushing the SBC conversion.
Anyway, not to get too far off topic here, NOS3800: no, the other times I ran the engine wasn't really cold, the coolant temps were still above 170 but I think the problem was my engine oil and trans fluid temps were not up to normal operating range. I have noticed that my 4T60-E does shift more consistantly when it is at normal operating temp; perhaps that would account for the descrepencies. Don't worry, I NEVER boost on my engine if the ECT is under 170 anyways.

Headhunter thanks for your inquiry into the build up of my car at present no but as soon as I am through installing a new and improved 4.9 motor I will put it together with details and pics as to what make my car go but just to inform you it is not a 100% stock engine I did some work to it.

It was my intention not to post to this thread again. I had made my position clear in my previous post. And I don't want to interfer with this thread.
But then Darth has to come along and take a quote from another thread and post it to this thread to try to start a flame war here. He's done the same thing to ruin several other good threads on PFF, so why not this one.

I know you didn't write it this time but pulling it from another thread and posting it here is the same thing as saying it.
Darth, I have never paid someone a commission, so I'll take your comment as a compliment. My customers will be insulted by you're accusation & take it as an insult to their integrity. Your Red Bar will get bigger.
I know you're jealous that my customers are happy enough with the product and the finished result that they become advocates of the SBC swaps.
I would suspect that if you spent as much time building your reputation as you spend trying to tear mine down, you could have people who would support you without having to pay them off.
X says he has matured, maybe you should try it.
If you want to take me on again, do it in a different thread. I, for one, will not allow you to ruin this thread by making it a flame war.
Gentlemen...we can do better than this bickering again ,you guys really do hate each other and obviously there is no end in sight or a salution to this problem .This thread is not about who is the fastest over the 1/4 mile ala V6/V8 but just an outlet to post our best time for what we have in our cars, all this name calling shows immaturity and ego on both sides of the coin and the only way this will stop is for one of you guys to just refuse to answer the other no matter what is said.....words are unkind but blows is some thing else so Archie just ignore Dart and Dart ignore Archie and we will see who is the real Man here....one love.

Also i was wondering if we should note what 3800SC have intercoolers and what pullys they are using. Could be more informative to those wonder what swaps to do. Also anyone know if CrazyD or Chester got times on their cars yet. And does anyone know what Tinas times are. And for the record i didn't know anything about Troy Ritchies car either until it was stated on here and i agree that it should be on the list.

Please stop all the SBC BS and SBC owners please share your times if you have raced those babies. I know every one should be interested. If you skip the trash here you will understand this is just an informative thread. Nothing more
I would like everyone to start giving me the major mods on your runs. No need to tell me you used NGK plugs, or had a 180 degree stat. Just the major ones. I started with Lildevil and mine in the list. So, let me know.

1fst2m6 - Travis ran a 12.91 @ 109 MPH. Automatic 2.8. I dont know if he still has this car. Last I heard it was for sale. I have not seen him on the board in quite some time.
