Hi Lildevil,Fiero X said in his post he used nos in his best time for part of the run until he ran out.And Tina has NOS but didn't use it on her run.AS for alky,it has more propertys than just cooling,it also has BTU's that burn and give you power.I used to use it in tractor pulling and it added good power over not using it.I was just wandering what mine might turn with a 100hp shot.Just a thought no big deal.I was looking to see you at the 20th to tell you how make wheeles but you didn't make it.Lets try to get together at the 20th at Indy in 04.It was good to hear from you.Don

Did FieroX use NOS on his run? I thought he didn't. maybe he'll post here and clear things up. i thought the NOS was going to get him into the tens.
Don, I know if you use methanol there might be a slight HP increase but with denatured alcohol i don't think there is. it jus allows for increased timing...I may be wrong.
i hope to make it to the big show this year but no promises!
As for wheelies...i am jus going to put 200 bricks in the trunk!
I am curious also how do we figure the top 5. any suggestions?

IMHO==If you own a Fiero and you are on or not on the PFF list, what difference should that make? I say list all Fiero times as long as they are real times.

I talked with owner Al Rupertus, and he will be including his Fiero with us at World of Wheels next month in Calgary. His best 1/4 mile time is 10.99 @ 133.0. He's getting his tranny rebuilt and will be trying for mid-10's next summer.

i found this when searching for info on my V8 car, travis (1fast2m6) used to own my V8 car back when it was basicly just a stock 2.8 4.10 W/ N2O this time slip was before the car had N2O not anything near as fast as it is now, but not bad for a realitivly stock 2.8 now that it has the V8 it feels like a mid 11 sec sar
it was the car that he traded to get his Imfamous Cheetah

engine size dosent mean squat fellas!! its alla bout power remember the jaguar xj220 is a v6 and i think a 3 or a 3.5 liter 218 mph whereas a viper has a 8.3 liter v10 and is slower so why not try putting hp ratings along with your 1/4 times ive seen some v6's make some v8 cars look stupid and vise versa so power rules not how big your engine is or how many cylinders you have if you had a choice between a 12 second ls1 or a 12 quad4 n/a which one would you choose a lot may say v8 but at the end of a race some will wonder how a car with 2.4 liters na can smoke a 5.7 liter v8 just my opinion i choose speed not cylinders
peace all!! from the exotic rida!!!!!

forgot.... you will be adding revin to the list, but i will let him post his times. heres a couple of pics from today at the 3800 shootout at san antonio raceway:
the only fiero there!! he put the fear in those gtp guys!!
Yeah I had a great time there. First time to take the car to the track since the 3800SC swap i did. Found that sometimes things break, but I did get a good run of, . . . 1/4 mile 13.84 @ 98mph 1.99 60ft
I got in 5 runs but there was a learning curve for me a few shots. Like the tires spin like mad behind a standard tranny
I liked beating some of those GTP's ! I have a stock motor except for a 3.4" pulley and I am sorta proud of my times( I figured I can do better next time! ) (after I rethread the block where the Alt bolt broke off in , AND figure why the blower belt came off to finish my day)
I just got word from my mechanic that the engine will be installed this week, and hopefully be ready to pick up by the end of the month. Still a lot of time before the tracks open here though.
yah, nice to see all these car representing esp the v6's (me incl) w00t!
couple of things though:
those using NOS should have a "with NOS" and "without NOS" time recorded....
what about "street driven" or "street legal" when we are talking about sum of the faster cars? (or are they all ok on public roads....which woudl be an awesoem stat to have! ) hehe
Is Al Rupertus a forum member? Revin, before resorting to nitrous, check your timing, should be 17-21 degrees at WOT. You should be much better then those times. I was running 13.4's with 1.8 60 foot times with just the 3.4 pulley and mine is a auto!

Wicked, can't wait for the turbo now, 14's and an old blown up motor here I come!

I fully agree with steve, smoooth, notafiero... heh.... I've been with kevin when he romped on it and he had me glued until he let off the gas... hehe... i was fully expecting times in the low 13's or less.... wish i coulda been there... i was just down the street moving a friend of mine into his new apartment and we didnt get finished in time ... anywho... sucks your car aparrently didnt like the track.... how the hell did the alternator bolts break off in the block? I figured you'd explode your clutch or tranny or something related, but the alternator and blower belt? weird....
did you bounce it off the rev limitter at the shift points? your car should be a lot faster than 13.8....

17" kumos + 5 speed trans = no "warming the tires" pics.
revins car is faster than the times it turned. the engine has never been scaned to see if it has any codes, still has the rev limit, track was way cold, and he needs a little more seat time at the track. after he gets comfortable with launching that centerforce and a little minor tuning it should turn much better times!

oh.. you can power brake a 5spd... i did it in my friend's 280ZX after we stripped the entire thing and were trying to blow up the motor... (which we did successfully... aparrently you shouldnt do long burnouts and countless donuts and 2nd gear figure-8 donuts for an entire night on a 250000 mile car ) just gotta side step the clutch and slowly give break while you mash the gas... requires a little more skill and coordination than what kevin may have tho hell... i bet if he revved it high enough and just side-stepped it he would have enough torque to sit and spin... altho he would GRENADE his clutch by doing that... and MUCH more if he actually hooked up... lol...
heh... kevin still needs to get the DHP PCM and learn to feather that centerforce hehe...
seriously tho... now he has that "at the track" experience and if he takes it there again he'll turn much better times... he should get some seat time at little river heh... sh*tty track, but seat time is seat time and its only what, $15 to run your car there? he just needs to NOT break his car... heh... and to think... have you broken anything on your car since you blew those axle seals out pulling it over the bump in your driveway, tony?
-Daniel
*BTW* tony - did kevin tell you what i got last week or so?

That being said...am i the only car in the top five that achieved my time on STREET tires? Not drag radials or slicks...street tires. I think Cali may have, and i am not too sure about Tina. Guys Chime in if you get the chance.
BFG T/A Radial Street tires, run as ya brung, no tire pressure changes, no cooling of any sort prior to or during run, no adjustments made to car to improve times, just good old fun, not a real serious attempt.
I get the impression from some posters that they don't feel cubic inches means swat when it comes to quick quarter mile times, can't figure out where these guy's may have gone to school??? Also this whole subject matter gets pretty clouded when you have people using turbos, superchargers, alcohol laced fuel, water injection, you name it. What you can do to one engine, you can do the other and get the same or better improvement in horsepower gain. Bottom line of this string is "Who's taken their Fiero down the Quarter Mile the fastest", that's all, it has nothing to do with which engine is better.
