Got any digital slips or dyno sheets? I have an 86 SE on Ebay right now with the exact same engine. How much work was the turbo install?

Took the car to the track to try out a new chip from Darth. Good good results considering: Did not use any kind of race gas or octane booster, kept everything like it was on the street(spare tire, full tank, etc.), and I was babying the launches. So I got new personal bests of 12.52@110.30 mph. Not bad considering I am still getting KR. It has to be the exhaust causing "Boost Stacking". I HAVE to find me a flange from the stock downpipe, then I can make a race exhaust. BTW, LilDevil put his street exhaust back on with alittle bit of work on it and he was only running 12.5's@112mph and he was using a 2.8 pulley. Granted he had to baby it off the line too, but I'm not too far behind.

Talked to Troy Ritchie. He will be the fastest by next season. That 11 sec run was plagued with some issues and he hates seeing on here cause its innacurate.

Yah, I hope to be in 11's....well, should damn well be soon lol. The run is even with cheesy 255/40/17 hardass kumho 712 tires that done hook for sh!t....i can barely get my 60' ft under 2.0 half the time. When i get it at 1.6 - 1.8, that should make a nice difference. I do plan for tryin out slicks this season. I also wanna do more circuit though.
Yah, i couldnt believe the mph...i did these last runs in Nov...the cold air must have helped out bigtime, especially with the intercooler running. Though, I lost traction a bit due to the cold too.
Ill be sure to post up new timeslip when i go this spring

The general rule of thumb is for every 0.1 sec improvement in 60' time, your 1/4 mile E.T. improves by 0.2sec. At least that has been my experience. I guess it has something to do with the initial launch momentum. I was able to get a 1.784sec 60' when launching at about 2psi of boost using 225 55 HR16 BF Goodrich Traction T/A tires. The track's launchpad was groomed really good that day though. Maybe some C16 race gas and more boost will yeild 11's for me this year but I don't know when I will have time to get to the track. Customer cars come first. I have heard a rumor that some people are trying to get an L67-swap day put together at Norwalk Raceway Park in Norwalk, Ohio this summer, if I hear anything I will let all of you know.
------------------ power corrupts. absolute power corrupts absolutely.
Get a set of BF Goodrich G-Force Sport tires as they are helping me lift the front end off the ground. On a straight take off there amazing. I will have some times on my 3800 Supercharged within a few months. Remeber the calculation from a 1/8th mile to 1/4 is not always true as some cars have bad top end and this can slow you allot. Get it on a 1/4 track already hahahaha Rick B

those are the times of my second race, between the car on the left and me.
my first run was actually better at 14.11 but i took it easy on the gas cause i knew i would kill the first guy cause he ran 19.5X but for undisclosed reasons i really wanted to match or beat the second car and was a little heavy on the gas.
i was in the right lane and the people in the tower told me that the "R" in the number 243R ment right lane when the cars have the same number but his car was number 244 and i was 243.
from the best i can figure out this is how the time slips reads car 243 243R r/t 1.198 0.738 60 2.828 2.586 330 7.235 6.811 1/8 10.729 10.221 mph 71.41 71.74 1000 13.748 13.142 1/4 16.327 15.568 mph 87.61 93.00
but now i'm really confused. cause the guys watching said the "win" light was on my side.
at some point the other guy was about 1 1/2 car lenths ahead of me. but when i hit forth i stoped spinning my tires and passed him.
but if i'm reading the numbers correctly "someone" was in front of the other one all the way to the finish line. or am i just so much of a virgin that i cant read a time slip?

The reaction time is triggered when your car makes it's initial move forward (where you started spinning), it looks to me like he got that 1.5 car length while you were spinning and you barely beat him to the 60ft mark. You just may have passed him sooner than you thought. I know it happenes all so fast.

So how many people have pics of there Fiero's pulling the front wheels on launch. Can it be done on street tires.
Oh and badumpbump
to pull the front wheels up....one would need quite the power....i doubt any street driven fieros we know can manage that. im at 400 whp and ill let u know how close i come...tho i doubt ill get even close....
im sure one would need 600+hp at least to pickup the fronties

I've got pictures on the forum pulling the front end off the ground at Union Grove Dragway, and in june we put on 3000 miles as a longhauler on the hot rod power tour.I averaged 22.8 miles per gal. It's hard for me not to pull them off the ground,it costs time in a quarter mile when that happens. So ,yes it can be done. Don

Yeah, Don is the real deal, he does get the wheels off the ground. And I don't think he is anywhere near 600 HP , correct? Suspension help and a good torque convertor will do it. AND sticky tires. Street tires will not do it, they will spin before lifting the fronts. There are a lot of people claiming they lift the fronts, but Don is the only one that has the pics. Evryone else I believe is dreaming. There is a video of a V8 car doing it and I think a 4.3 turbo doing it, but they aren't on the forum.
