i almost feel embarassed bringing this back up from the dead after so long... and with no rear progress to speak of to boot.
the car has been resting in my garage for almost a year. it was supposed to sit the winter, and i'd get back to work on it this summer and finish the bodywork. well, priorities changed a bit and i'm still waiting for a chance to work on it.

HOWEVER, for those who may be interested, i have decided that i do not trust the work done at the shop at all, and it will be far easier for me to just use the bondo layered on there and make a plug with, and then make a 2 piece mold of the rear, and make new panels out of fiberglass rather than try and fix what's there. i figure i'll need at least 600bux of spendable cash and a solid 80hrs(2weeks off?) to get it done. as of right now there is no chance i will have that time AND money this summer. i want ever so badly to quit my useless job and "concentrate" on school, and for that reason i really don't want to spend any unnecessary money. but anyway, back to the point. since i will be making molds and making new panels anyway, the only thing stopping me from reproducing these panels is some interest and my pride. i really, REALLY wanted to claim everything was one-off, but at the same time if i made a limited run, say 10, and sold them for about 150 over what it cost to make(which might be like 250buxCDN), that would pay for the better part of my paint job. in other words, if i could pay for the paint by selling some panels i'd totally do it.
i want to make this clear right now, i am NOT taking orders, or trying to gauge interest at this time. i HOPE to be able to make these panels by this time NEXT year. at that point i will inspect my "technique" and be sure that the product is actually something i would feel comfortable selling and looking into the price. i would plan on it being pretty cheap, and pretty rough, but i am completely unsure of how the panels will fit on a stock car until i try it. i also have no intention of making molds for anything past the doors.
so, that's my update, its kinda sad, but on the other hand next year i graduate and get to start my career, so after the house is taken care of i should have enough money to treat myself a little bit. new wheels/tires, install the L67, i have some ideas for the interior as well. and of course, teachers get summers off so i'll actually have time to work on it too

Scott, your car even looks cool sitting in your driveway under 5 feet of snow . Better get starting on it again as soon as snow melts!
