I had seen the pictures from the build progress for months and aside from a vague warning to watch out for a new young gun at this year's event, i had bitten my tongue for close to a year and kept true to a pact to keep a special project secret.
Still even i was blown away by the final product i saw before me at Daytona 2006.
This custom 87 GT widebody belongs to forum member FieroGTRwideboby, or Alex. Alex and his father spent 2 years on this incredible custom build.
Alex an aspiring Auto Art design student apparently has a very bright future, and dad a professional cabinet maker isn't too shabby either in the skills department.
I was so enthralled by this car and took so many pictures, a couple parked next to the car thought and asked if i was from a magazine or something. Hehehe
The paint is genuine lamborghini orange, and was painted by a lamborghini dealership. This thing sounded as mean as it looked too.
An awesome all custom ride.

Sorry about the crappy pics, but all the good pics are on my wife's brand new camera and i don't know how to download them yet.
I am sure others will post before i get the chance, but these are just a peek into this awesome all custom ride.
That is one very well done car, nice styling great body work. How about a frontend photo?

Just a side note, he does have molds for all his work !
After listening to his dad's very cool European accent and seeing this body work you would almost swear he worked for ferrari or lamborghini, and not as a wood worker.
BTW,...Oh yeah,..another warning.....uh never mind let me shut up.

Wow. That thing is pretty sick. There are a few things about the front end I don't love (sure don't hate any of that thing) but overall, simply amazing. The widebody must be unbelievable in person.

The side grills are on there it just looks like they are not. The angle of the photo is very deceiving. I'll start up a complete build thread soon and all will be revealed. Thanks alot for the comments and trust me its been hard keeping it on the down low....
Thanks I'll post some more when I get home Sunday

Hello Exoticse Thanks for getting this on a roll, I glad people like it, and i anyone has any questions just ask, I'd be happy to answer them. I'm so excited, the whole Daytona atmosphere is great and all the great car make it even better.

Hmm... There are molds. This could get interesting for me. No, but seriously, I want basically everything but the front and rear bumper and the hood. I'll take the door panels, rear clip, front fenders and the rockers. How much, lol?

Very nice car! The hours of work were well worth the return!
That widebody looks fantastic on it, it would be great to see how it looks in other paint schemes/small customizations I like the added accents of this body over the standard widebody. Gives it something 'extra'. For some reason I didn't like the how the Archie dash looks, but I do in these pics. Maybe it's the difference in the photos, maybe it's whatever changes have been made to it.
Looking forward to seeing the build thread!

Hey anybody that has more pics, DON"T HOLD BACK!!! haha
Okay, your wish is my command
I had to keep the same secret, Alex lives in Port Charlotte, a stones throw from me. I saw the car being built, even before the paint, you could tell it was going to be a wild creation. Good job Alex & family
I tried to get photo's of it before the show, but with moving back into the house, didn't have the time.

A+ work. I hope to see it in the future. -And I hope to buy some pieces of the bodywork if they produce it for the public. The treatment of the back of the car is top notch.
