Blackrams: when the time gets closer, do you want to make a separate Tri-state convoy thread? I can catch up with your convoy in Cinci very easily, my in-laws live right around there so my wife and I can stay at their place the night before.
Also, we can get cellphone information passed around closer to the date to make it easier to coordinate.
Looks like I'm running with the Bluegrass group When the schedule of events comes out for the track day I guess a decision can be made as to when people will leave? I'd like to be able to participate in the track day in some fashion.

Definately! I'm doing everything I can to go. Obviously, others are doing the same thing. Sorry it took so long to respond, I simply got distracted and stopped checking this thread out. Doesn't mean there's a lack of interest. I'm planning on attending and will plan on leaving the day before the show starts.

You guys are all making me super jealous!!!!!!!! I have planned on going to this show for about a year now. Everything was looking good for me to make it there, but something else was going on at the same time. Wedding planning. I'm getting married August 2. Just about a month ago I realized that my wedding is the weekend after the show. And I've been told by everyone involved that it just won't work out.
Bummer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hmm, let's think about this. Fiero versus wedding. Wedding versus Fiero. Driving excitement versus years of henpecking, oops, did I type that? Just ignore that, obviously a typo.

My guess is that we'll leave the Lexington, KY area the morning of the 23rd of July. That will obviously depend on what others are doing, to include those passing through that might want to join up. I will most assurdedly ensure those wanting to travel with us know what the plan is. I know of at least four Kentuckians planning on attending. Hoping for others but, it's a little too early for some to know. I hope we're able to join up with others in the Cincinatti, OH area and more along the way.
As I have offered before, I will be happy to try and set up a meeting location near the interstate in the Lexington area. I will also try to get anyone hotel recommendations near that point if anyone is interested. Just let me know how I can help.
Convoys rarely make much more than the posted speed limit so it's not hard to predict when a group will be traveling through a specific location for others to meet up with on the interstate headed that direction. It's a little over six hour drive from Lexington to Pontiac with a fuel/potty stop on the way, that will make if another 15 to 30 minutes depending on how many vehicles are in the group. ------------------ Ron

my hope is to be there , but towing my fiero on my trailer. not because i cant drive it there. but i have more than 2 people in my family. plus i figure if i find a fiero that needs to be towed i can drive mine off the trailer and tow them there. because we all know the fiero is the most reliable car on the earth we should really try to keep this at the top or sticky it at the top.

DONE: 86gt 5 speed 4.9 complete rebuild with buds outback northstar pistons , delta cams E303 cam , full ported , polished , stronger head springs, and flow tested heads and manifolds. rockcrawl's custom chip , polished crank . too much to list
I was going to ask Cliff to replace the thread I started with this one but I was thinking this thread is two years old and three pages and might be a bit of a jumble for others to follow so I didn't ask but if several think this is better I have no objections with switching. (whew)
edit Maybe in this thread is the tentative plans and the other is the firm ones.
