Warm it with a heat gun. Just a little heat (get it up to about 160 F) will help it catalyze.

I will need to wipe the car down before shooting primer---laquer thinner or acetone?

Wipe it two complete times with Prepsol or it's equivelent (use that blue paper towel material) then as you paint, wipe with a tack cloth.

Sorry no pic yesterday===put up the rest of the tent and shot the primer. Had difficulty with the gun and it spit quite a bit. Need to get rid of the cheap inline regulator under the gun I believe and use the larger and better inline filter/regulator that I bought. Last night we sanded down the primer and she should be ready to paint today as soon as I get my gun pattern under control. I'll take a pic this morning after the sun comes up.

Got good coverage but still finding rough spots in the primer-------not good.
I had to run out and buy some brass adapters to set up my filter regulator----going to have to sand more before attempting to paint and hope and pray I get better results with the gun this time around----otherwise I have wasted about $500 already.

Just finished cleaning the gun from basecoat blue metalic. Next I will mix up the clear and shoot. I have been fighting sweat droplets like crazy and some garbage which has floated in or got blown out from under trim pieces.
Pray to the clearcoat gods for me. I've never done this before.

Well, we brought the IMSA to Daytona and had to leave Deb's 4.9 car behind.
After untaping and installing a pair of Tom's headlights we started the car. It ran for about ten minutes and died. We believed it had run out of fuel so we added 2 gal to the tank. After that the car would start briefly and die again -over and over. Eventually I came to realize the fuel pump was not coming on. I replaced the fuel pump fuse---no go. Swapped the pigtails on the ac and fuel pump relays---no go. Swapped another cadillac computer in----no fuel pump----sooooooooooo
We had to leave the car behind. It was extremely dissapointing for both Miss Debbie and I.

I'm guessing I'll be dropping the fuel tank next week to replace the fuel pump.

Hi,
What headlights are you using? They look like Grand Prix units.

Headlights are what they used to call "Tom's Lights"
they are sheet metal buckets with JC Whitney lights and 100w bulbs.

Miss Deb is recovering her seats today--whohoo-----darned hard work too!

Hey Lookin' goood. Nice effort on that restoration. Good additions and nice choice of paint color including the color of the pegasis and stripes.

Way to go!
