It will depend on if my restaurant has opened or not. If I am still not open I will have time but be short on money so it is up in the air. I have been wanting to make the Daytona show though, it is on the top of my list.

I am officially waving off from Daytona this year. Aside from the lack of a road worthy Fiero, I'm saving all my resources for getting my chop top to the 25th this summer. So for all of you that I miss at Daytona, hopefully I'll see you later this summer in Pontiac, MI.

I tried to make my reservation for the 27th (Thursday) till 30 (Sunday), but they wouldn't give me the 'Spacecoast Fieros' rate for Thursday. They wanted to charge me the standard rate of $149. Is this something you can look into? Did anyone else have a problem with checking in a day early?

Give it a try. If they do not give you the rate have the desk get hold of Anthony in sales and he can set it up
FOR ALL OTHERS INTERESTED IN COMING TO DAYTONA - MAKE YOUR RESERVATIONS SOON! THE HOTEL IS FILLING UP FAST WITH OTHER GROUPS
When you make your reservations be sure to ask for the Space Coast Fieros rate in the convention area.

I'm not positive I'm going to be able to go yet. Is there any penalty or deadline for canceling your reservation? I don't want to wait to see if I can go, find out I can and then not be able to get a room.

The contract states that you must cancel at least 24 hours in advance - in other words No Sweat

We will be driving over Saturday morning, should be there around 10:00 Bringing the wagon so I can buy some things. The GT will have to wait for another year.
2006: My 87 GT was "in process", so I attended Fieroless. 2007: Old 2.8 engine blew up in Ocala, FL on the way to Daytona, towed it home and attended Fieroless again 2008: New 3.4 swap is done and approx. 600+ miles break-in complete with no major problems so far.
We will likely be arriving Friday afternoon. Frank can you send me a schedule of events, with anything I need to pre-register for?

I hate that I'm going to miss seeing your car...Daytona has become a tradition for me, but I'm not going Fieroless this year. The mantra this year is see you at the 25th. I will be there even if I am Fieroless.

My Fiero is not going to make it this year but I will:
Early-morning Florida frost and a narrow wooden bridge took me out of the show. See my build thread for details.
I was soooooo looking forward to it this year too. I will be at the show regardless and I'm looking forward to seeing some familiar faces.
I'll see you guys/gals there... room or no room.
Brett
I digress!!! Still brings tears to my eyes seeing those pics... I've got lot's of work to do, so I need to work like hell to get the car back together in time for the show. I've got a good start on things by rounding up the materials, tools and body parts that I need. Thank you to a few of you on this forum (you know you are ) who have been ultra generous by donating most of the parts I was needing and the offering of help, should I be in need of it.
It's time to get the SINISTER GT back on the road.
It's also time to pick up some fiberglassing skills. I'm also still needing a side mirror, rear wheel-well, lower GT door-panel trim (all these are pass.-side) and both front nose turn signals. Other small items: passenger-side interior door handle trim and I need a sun-visor.
Anyone who can help me get my hands on these parts locally, let me know... and keep an eye on my build thread for updates! Daytona '08, here I come...
Brett
