Everybody that paid me and followed through with payment instructions got a set. I have none left to sell. I only ordered enough for those members. Your only option is a $200.00 set from some one from time to time, or re-read the 4th page of this thread to see where you can obtain a set. Several guys have found them in local trim shops in their hometowns. All I did was find a useable affordable alternitive.
Sorry
Joe

I saw the wipes that Stu brought to the meeting on Saturday...

I think they will be just as good as what you procured Joe.
Fiero owner ingenuity never ceases to amaze me.

Ya know it really wasn't .... I definitely built it up in my mind to be a bigger deal than what it was. It was all pretty straightforward... and I was even using a hand drill to drill out the old rivets, and drill all the new holes in the new wipe. Thanks again for facilitating this Joe, we all owe you one.

I have one set of mine completed and one set about to go on Ebay or sell here. My second set is by far better looking than the first trial set. But I will be installing the first set on my 87GT.

There is some info on what Joe and I used on Page 2 of this thread, it's material from a seat belt shoulder pad that worked pretty well. I believe Stu said he used felt to recover the pads/blocks.

JazzMan I used the seatbelt pad thingie from Walmart. $2.97 in the automotive section. It was just the ticket once I glued it on the pad with black 3M trim adhesive. There was enough there to do two cars. It is a doubled layer sewn.

Just thought I'd throw some photos up now that I finished both doors. All in all these were a great cost effective alternative, especially for those like me who had old petrified remnants of what used to be original dew wipes on their car.

Again a big thanks to Joe for his efforts on this project. While he may not have come up with the original idea, he definitely did the legwork!!

A good looking ride Rich! I think it would be a good idea for all of the members that have fixed their old wipes to post us a picture of thier repaired car. "No one has to suffer with dew wipe loss again." Stand up and be counted.

What year was the vette? And how well did they look after you installed them? Can you post us a picture?

The Vette I did is a 84, I believe 84 thru 97 are alll the same dew wipes... On vettes they call them belt mouldings.

Since I did a fiero and a vette... I feel the Vettes probably will fit a fiero. and the vettes are easier

since I used this thread to make a passenger side wipe, and tomorrow a driver side I thought I should give it a bump for anyone who wants to do this themselves.

For anyone who didn't read through the thread...here is the link to the rubber part of the wipe

On the car

If you want to see what the wipe looks like by itself, it looks the exact same as on the previous pages.
