I'm definitely going to try to make this meet up. I'm about 2 hours away, and I don't have any commitments that I know about, yet. I suppose that depends on how my job hunt goes.

Let's see if everyone is going to follow the guidelines properly. If I recall correctly from page one, the goal was to make this about an hour away for everybody. I really don't know if I can do 220 mph, but I don't want to be the only one not participating. At that speed I'll have to leave time for a gas stop, plus I might need someone to come bail me out of jail, too. This could be the first real test of my anti-radar paint. Now where did I leave my helmet ...

I've seen it too. Crazy stuff! We couldn't have that at our F.I.E.R.O. meet, it might cause too much warmth! Sorry to hear about your back Dave, that's a bummer. I'm glad you can both make it anyway. Tom, that may be hard for us, we'll have to keep from getting run over on I-95, going 22mph and all!
Fierology, that's okay. I think it's a statistical fact that 73.2% of [i]all[/] remaining Fieros are now on jack stands.
OBTW, I couldn't make it out to Arundel Mills today, I've been doing homework all day. Grrr. I checked movie listings, and it doesn't seem that anything really good is coming out that weekend so the parking lot should be okay.
2 more weeks!

Remind me not to try and follow you! I would not want your Afterburner to burn the rest of the paint off the front of mine. Although I can bring a Helmet in case you want to take me for a ride.LOL
To help keep this thread up on top, lets see some pictures of what you are driving to the Meet (even if it is not a Fiero). Let me do some digging on my hard drive to find a suitable picture to put up of mine to start things rolling.
Here is my Contribution:

naw, the beetle is not my car, just something cool I found online....it seemed to fit. I'm not a helocopter mechanic by any means. Besides, Joey will be able to drive a regular gas engine faster. Dave

I was going to ask to do the same thing so we can get a visual of who we'll be meeting (because you know us car types match names to the cars better than to the faces. ) You beat me to it!
I'm full of homework and it's dark right now, but tomorrow I'll try to get a new pic of Deathtrap with the '88 wheels on. Next weekend I'm going to send a community PM reminder to everyone who said they may or will be coming, and I'll be including my cell # to call if the parking lot moves at the last second or if anyone gets lost.
P.S. If you guys know of any other forum members who are in the area but may have not seen this thread then let them know about it!

btw - the Fino lights are all back in. I took it our for 45 minutes today and had a blast! I was also reminded of the many other things that need to be fixed before a long drive, like securing the engine mount and hooking up the mechanical temp gauge to find out if the digital one is correct.
Bring the Finiero to this meet is still up in the air. If it has any problems, I could miss the gig that evening, so we'll see. So, here she is just in case she can make it...

Sax, Joey and I are driving close to four hours each way.....you better be there! Dave
I'll be there once Ruth gets off work at 1:15. It will take about an hour to get there - or less if I end up driving the Mach 1
Does D&B sell the beer you like to drink, Dave?
I have a concert that night, so I have to be on the base by 7. Unfortunatley, it's a performance on the base at the officer's club, so I can't invite any of you to listen. I might be able be able to bring some CDs for any of you big band jazz fans, though. Just let me know.
All looks good for me making it there - so far.

I just wanted to add a list of things I need to complete the 88 Formula. If anyone has something listed, please let me know a price - and if you can bring it to the meet.
88 Rear poly or rubber control arm bushings 88 cradle bolts (back verticle ones) Red Hood (bright red from 88 or 86) A tool for pushing out the 88's old bushings (I can bring them to the meet to be pushed out. My C-clamp won't work any more and I don't have the pipe-thing to push them through)
I'll list anything else I can think of when I get back under the car...
Thanks!

Hey Saxman, looks like I won't have the car ready for the get together Definatly wanted to show you the difference from the day i picked the car up from ya. For anybody not going to carlisle there is a Pontiac show in dinwiddie Saturday May 31, 2008. Wondering if weather permits if everybody want's the meet up for this? Yes there is a Fiero class!!! Click on the Virginia Motorsports on the left of the page.
I'm ready to see what she looks like now. Anything would have been an improvement, but I am sure you have her looking good.
The show you mentioned is 2 and a half hours from here, so I don't know if the Fino will make it. Ya never know. I'd sure like to get her to some shows this year! Heck, it looks like Pontiac Performance magazine will be there. I'd better dress up the engine compartment if I do end up making it down!
I should have a new job by then, so anything is possible.
Can't wait to see how that abused yellow 87 looks now!

Oh, and YES, it's that kind of big band - but more modern now. You can hear the recordings at www.airmenofnote.com - there is some great stuff there - and it's free!

All are holding up the back of the Fiero. I'm just paranoid that a jack will fail. I hate the whole idea of dying underneath a Fiero
It's a good thing to be afraid of. I had a friend die that way. I cut no corners in jacking a vehicle, and if I feel uncomfortable, I just don't go under.

Hey, awesome music! I'm listening to the Anvil Chorus right now. Great! It'll be great if you are bringing some CD's because it'd be easier than downloading them all one-by-one. But that's doable to, and worth it. Do you guys ever play for Swing dances at the Spanish Ballroom in Glen Echo MD?
Hey Saxman, your 88 formula looks like the Fred Flintstone version. Hope to see your green fiero at the meet. What do you think of the Brian Seltzer orchestra?

I'll grab a pile of whatever CDs I can find. Nope, I never played in Glen Echo. The Air Force keeps me busy enough that I don't really play sax much when I am off work. Glad you like it!

I'd have to jam with you one day, Andrew. I used to play bass in a jazz gig for a while. A bunch of us would get together and play at jazz clubs with no rehearsal ever. Our first time paying together was at a live show. The drummer would start, I would kick in with my bass, and then the sax and guitar would chime in and we'd play for hours. The songs would last for fifteen minutes, trading off solos. It was all improv for us...and we were pretty good at it and reading each other. You'd never know we never rehearsed. Dave ps....it looks like Joey and I will be taking her Honda to the meet....sorry, no Fiero this time. Our only runing Fiero got a bad bill of health from the alignment shop and it has some chassis damage that wasn't disclosed to me prior to the sale....no biggie, but I'll not be able to fix it until the end of the month.

It is listed on Craigslist at least 6 times in different areas around Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
Didnt you sell this one? If I remember right, you had trouble with it running hot.
Yeah - that's the one I used to own and sold to wiccantoy. The last 4 photos were taken by me so maybe I should get some royalties?
I guess he needs to get his money back on the sale. It doesn't sound like he had time to get the heating problem fixed. He also told me that it wouldn't start after he got it home, but we started it up just fine at my house to get it on the trailer. I must have started it 200 times without a problem, but now it seems that the flywheel is toast. He also was run off the road about two miles from my house and blew out a tire on his trailer after leaving, so the car has not brought much luck to anyone. I guess it all comes from the original builder of the car - user name = Yons. Plenty of details about "Yons" and how he cheated me here - https://www.fiero.nl/forum/Forum2/HTML/076693.html
I hope wiccantoy has some luck in his sale. It really is a nice car. I actually miss it even though I wanted to set it on fire a few times...

If I'm not working the day you choose, I'll come to Arundel Mills Mall.
On another note, If wikid_one reads this, were you driving a red/silver GT in OC on Coastal Hwy. last Sat. around 8:00?
Yep, that was probably me. I've been driving my dad's GT since my 3.4 is out of commission for a while. I'm really looking forward to my tax checks so I can get it fixed in time.

Yup - if I can get $11k out of it, I'd gladly start over building one on the T-top coupe I have waiting outside. I'd love to have one with a 3800SC in back!
If I can't get the money, then I'll keep playing with this one until she is right...
