The weather is supposed to clear up nicely by noon-ish tomorrow, so the final call is that we're on! Again I'm terribly sorry if I haven't been able to keep up with this as much as I'd like, I'm busier these times than I've ever been in my life. As soon as I get a chance I'll email the few with my cell # that responded after I sent everyone a PM.

You must have missed it in the first post, I apologize if it's confusing. We're going to meet in the parking lot behind the movie theater (which isn't far from Dave and Busters). It's the seemingly most open parking lot I could find. That's what the arrow is pointing to.
Sorry you can't make it Tom, that's a bummer! Maybe next meet, it'd be great to meet you.
Well, back to building this detonator box (aka: work)...

I hope the weather is better sooner than noon, or it is going to be a messy drive over for me. Guess it is not worth getting her all cleaned up for the drive.
Well it shifted slightly to the early afternoon, where there's only a 30% chance of light rain/snow, then it clears up for the rest of the day, and there's no problem in the morning. I just sent everyone a final reminder PM with that info, too.
Again, please let us know here, if you haven't mentioned it recently, whether you're planning on coming or not.
Christine and I will be there no matter what with Deathtrap. Hopefully I'll see all of you soon! Dress warm!

I'll leave Waldorf around 1:45 in the Mach. I'll fit the Getrag in there somewhere for you to check out if you want, Fierology. Just let me know before I leave.
I don't know if the Getrag will go on a 4-banger. I know the Isuzu will fit both, so why wouldn't a Getrag? Just check the forum to be sure. I don't want to mislead. I PM'd you with more info on my trans. Sorry - no other parts than the trans.
My Fiero buddy, Doc-, may come. He has been out of town and didn't know about this until today. He was suffering in Amsterdam for a WAYYY to long
Oh, does anyone need exhaust manifolds? I have some with no cracks. 1 is already pulled and the other is waiting patiently. I might be able to get it off before I leave tomorrow.
Hey Joey - who is getting the front bumper?
See you all tomorrow! (just looked at my clock and I'll be seeing you all today!)
Cheers!

Where were these when I was welding mine back together earlier this week!
Great Job Steven, getting us all together to freeze our collective Butts off
It was awesome to meet those of you that I have not met previously, and great to see the rest of you as well. Now I just have to get some of the pictures from today out of my camera and posted here.
For those of you that could not make it, you missed a good time , and hopefully we will so you next time.
We could have an anti-Daytona for people who won't be going to FL this year.
True! I still want to make it to Daytona, but what/when my next job happens is as questionable as which car I will finish first. Carlisle will be timed nicely. It sounds like we get to see the first VW-powered Fiero!
Do we have a list of exactly who made it today? I suck at remembering screen names. The one I can't remember is the guy and his wife who were sitting next to Joey. I never got a chance to talk to you guys! The best part is hearing about everyone's cars, but I missed that 'cause I was late. It was friggin' cold out there!! I don't know how you guys stayed out as long as you did.
It's funny how small the Fiero community is. I had already met Nextel, Mytime and YellowComp before - and felt like I already knew Dave and Joey from all the joking around. Sorry I didn't get to talk with you much, Jimmy. Fierology and ALLTRBO - nice to have a face to put with the user name. Who's red kit was that I saw parked as I pulled in?
The other amazing thing is how split the Fiero community is. I can safely say that the table this afternoon was filled with some of the really good ones!
BTW, thanks again, ALLTRBO, for the 88 springs. Much appreciated!

I had a great time today guys! Despite the cold, good weather. No rain, no snow, just Freezing In Every Random Orfice. Next time my little Fiora will be w/ us. :-D
Thanks, Dave, for the wheels. And if the burnt one's too damaged to use, wheels make great garden hose reels and bells. And what's a more fittin dinner call from the garage than a ringing Fiero wheel?
Andrew, I'll offer you a price for some tranny or another.
Great event Steven! Thanks so much. It was great to meet you and Christine.
More and more I'm seeing the addiction. If it weren't for space and money, I'd probably have another Fiero once my current one is done
Everyone, I'll see you all later.
-Michael

Congrats, you are all now official hardcore members of the F.I.E.R.O. club. We couldn't have done it without the cold!
It was a great time! It wouldn't have been had none of you showed up, so all of you deserve the thanks. Thanks! It's really good to know that despite all the scamming, nasty hatred, and pathetic drama I've seen in the Fiero community, there are genuinely nice, real people too! Christine and I definitely needed that.
Oh man, again I'm sorry about Dave & Busters! I suppose there's no excuse, but if I had more time I could have planned that better. It seemed like everyone enjoyed Chevy's though!
Brad (the idiot on the motorcycle ) said he'll put all those pics up on his website this week, I'll link to them here when he does. They should be available in (very) hi-res, too, if you want a F.I.E.R.O. wall mural. Thanks for the teasers Kevin, we're lookin' good!
Now, it's off to Connecticut to pick up SMLTRBO. Wish us luck! -Steven

As far as Fieros in attendance, we had, starting at the 308:
steve308, Mytime, Frank (I can't remember his screen name, but he said he doesn't post here too often), me, CompYellowFiero, Nextel dude, Daredevil05, and ALLTRBO
this may be a redundent post ---- It was great meeting everyone. Came away with a few new ideas for future upgrades to the 308. Looking forward to seeing everyone again, maybe in Carysle. Steve308

The Ferrari kit did look great. My personal opinion of some upgrades to perk it up a little would be adding twin headlight buckets. I have them on two of my Fieros and they constantly get mistaken for exotics when I use the lights....until they pull up next to me and realize it is a Fiero. Dave

Thanks for the kind words and the headlight ideas for the 308. Have looked into the lower lights for a while and think it could be the way to go --- but I'll probably work on the interior first. By the way, which Carlisle event? Spring, Performance & Style or Kit & Import? I'm open for any of the above at this time and maybe we can put together a VA /MD / DC "caravan" to the event. Let me know. steve308

The kit and import show....may 16th-18th (if I remember correctly). Joey and I will be there with my gay orange Fiero and her VR6 Fiero that I have not given a nickname to yet. Dave

How about VieRo? or VieRo6?
Or VieRo69 - to add a little "sexy" to it?

PM's sent. Will somebody please let me know that they went out properly?
Well shoot, I've been so busy lately that I forgot all about it, and never got the PM (or at least never got notification that I had one). Damn.
On a different topic, does anyone in N. Va have a recommendation for a good Fiero-friendly shop? I've pretty much given up on getting friends and strangers to help me out with the car and need to get it to a shop to get it running, especially now that I got slapped with two $40 tickets -- one for expired tags, the other for no front plate -- after moving the car out of my garage and onto the street. Grrrr. Didn't think I needed the front plate mounted if I wasn't driving the car! Guess I better order a bracket from Fierostore.com.
Damn, there was a PM (two, actually) but my prefs were set to not notify me by email. That sucks. Hell, I couldn't even figure out where to find my private messages!

I'd LOVE a VR6 swap, but they're expensive! And Dave and Joey are doing a ton of work for it. But, yeah, that'd be really nice. But what'd I'd really like is a BMW engine, one of the ones w/ variable valve timing!!! I don't know much about BMW engine engineering, but the 525i I drive sometimes is so smoothe and powerful, and it's only a 2.5L. The news is I just bought a 2.8 V6 w/ 5spd, runs and all, and I'm picking it up in NJ.

Oh yeah, sorry. I forgot to check the last couple days (I was bugging him earlier in the week though). It looks like they're up.
To get a very hi-res pic (or any size you want), click on the thumbnail to place the pic in the bigger preview window on the right, then move your mouse over the pic. A tab on the right side will pop up and you can click on any size you want, then right click "save as" if you want to keep them. "Original" is the largest size, they're MASSIVE. The cars look great!
Just chiming in here. Just got back from Fla. You know there's some kind of motorcycle thing going on in Daytona right now. Stephen, great get together. I enjoyed meeting and talking to everyone and hope to meet and greet again sometime in the future. You know, I drove all the way to Florida & back and didn't see one other Fiero on the road. Amazing. Cool, glad you made it there and back safe. Turns out that I'm going to be selling the drivetrain-less '88 GT as well, which will leave me with no Fieros for now. Maybe another time I'll be set up to deal with all these cars and motorcycles (with an extra 3 car garage that I want to build).
Brad said he only started posting up the pics so there will be more.
