I too will apologize for leaving early. Michael was worn out from looking at all the girls (pics to be posted later) and I needed to get back home to help out Wendy with 2 5-year old girls.
Congrats to the winners! Great lookin' cars!
Not sure when, but I hope to see y'all again soon!

I'm not on a computer that I can use to post them and download them. You will just have to wait until I have the chance to do it tomorrow unless someone beats me to it.

I want to personally thank everybody for coming out and supporting the charity. Total count of fieros = 12. A little short of the 20 that was expected, but still everybody had a good time getting sun burned and winning trophies.
If the club decides to continue with this show as an annual event and wants to keep the separate class. Then the Pres. by December/January time frame should send to aer $200 deposit in a form of a check to “hold” the class. Note: If deposit is sent beyond that time frame then the NTMC might not hold the class. I will help the club pres. in anyway possible, but I will no longer be the one to send to aer the $200 deposit to hold the class. I did this only because I had to do extra effort to get this class created. Now that the class has been created and aer would like it to be continued, the club should now be able to raise the funding by the time frame requirement.
Monies should be started to be collected as early as October and at the Christmas party. If the club runs into some difficulties, I will be more than happy to offer my assistance in any anyway possible. So I conclude with this as a challenge for the club, to come up with the necessary funding and to exceed the turnout of this year’s showing and to break the 20 fiero mark and show this metroplex that we had “real” cars that “do not catch on fire”. Mach1
Wow $200 just so you can have a "spot" to park at a "show" That is taking all the fun from the show! Why would anyone want to commit to going to a show that far in advance??
I like it better when someone says "Hey, there is a show in a couple of weeks. let's ask the club if they want to go."
If they don't want to just add Fieros to the line-up...then I'd say forget them! is this the 2nd time ya'll went?? THAT should be enough to say to them lets invite the Fiero grop! They show up at our events. NOT some part time club member, fiero owner, that WORKS FOR THEM saying hey give us money and we will "hold" a spot for you. .....CRAZY!
Not a dig on you Mach
Oh and this thread is worthless withoutr pics!!!!!
Since you were not there I forget your useless comments..............
This is a carity event and are run by different rules and guidelines from any other local small scale car shows. events. BTW,we hit over 300 cars!
When you have radio and local TV coverage plus asking the city and the city police departments to shut down many roads for the day, is planned almost a year inadvance to have permission from the city to conduit these large shows. Even the fire department must have a say in this, state laws require this.
Shut down roads? so you could drag or what? have it in a parking lot like normal people do.
ok, Look a-hole it is just a car show! MOST are for charity. and only 300 cars? I have been in bigger in smaller towns! I bet most there were the useless Fords that you seem to like so well.
Let me ask...
Hey AAFO, did you EVER pay $200 (or any $$) just so you would have a "spot" in a big car show???
NO
Hey Lone Star Fieros... same question.....
NO
So why would anyone have to pay and beg to be in any show?? answer is they don't!
I think if you were into Fieros and attended more of the meetings, you could just tell your ford buddies to include a section for "your fiero friends"
So get off your high horse!

Yeah... there were a lot of Fords... but hey, it was their show... so that is understandable.
The $200... was basically an insurance measure that Fiero's would have their own class. Once Kevin had 10 registers at $20 a piece... that repaid him the money he kindly fronted.
No, 'we' did not have to pay $200, but then we would have been put in sport/sub-compact with Miata's & Sky's... and none of us really wanted that.
It was a good time Kevin, I wish you could have come up!
Quite a few of us won door prizes that weer worth way more than entry... got a T-shirt & cap...the food was cheap... and the trophies nice!
Hey I am sorry if I seem out of line, BUT, awww never mind Ya'll had fun and thats great! I am happy for what ever ya'll were happy for (door prize, awards, parking, etc.) Delete line. Delete line. Delete line. Delete line. Delete line. So to end all of this griping about the way it sounds like it was handled and how, I say.............. Glad ya'll deal with him
