I would suggest that everyone add an extra 5 to 6 dollars to the payment to Brad. He is going WAY out of his way to help save everyone a lot of money. It would be a shame if he had to sell his set of buckets after doing all this!
Agreed! helping others isn't a cheap task. even if you break even, it's still cost you a lot of time and effort.
FieroBrad87 & Fiero1Fan, please don't forget about me for the next order of round buckets. Also, I would be happy to go out of my way and save everyone some money on shipping by bringing the next order of buckets home with me on my airplane and then mailing them out from the east coast where I live. Time and effort, yes. worth it to help fellow Fiero lovers, absolutely! Sorry we couldn't make it work this time around.
FieroBrad87 - - I wish you & your gradparents the best. I hope everything turns out ok.

Here is the link: http://www.rallylights.com/hella/90mm_modules.asp Call these guys and find out what they can offer for the lights in a group buy. They are the ones that supplied the lights for the guys last time.
Before I call and find out about a group buy I wanna make sure I'm talking about the correct Item #'s that we need. just let me know if I'm correct please.
Each bucket will need:
1 of item HL68136 1 of item HL68137
and from the description on the web site it appears that each lamp requires a item HL87193.
Does this sound correct? If not please let me know what I should be asking for. Thanks.
If (or when) I buy this low profile conversion...am I going to have to pay someone to install it? Looking through this thread, it seems a little "involved" to make this conversion (electical wise) I HOPE I'M WRONG.
The list of things did help though.
Pictures of a step by step installation would be a WORLD OF HELP.
I also can't wait to see some conversions INSTALLED and experiances with ones who install them.

The wiring harness is easy to do. I will scan in a drawing of how it is wired this weekend. It is easy to install. Just plug one end into the exsisting connector that went to the old headlights then plug the other two connectors into the new lights. Make sure you label the low beam and high beam connectors so they get connected to the correct light.
When done it looks like this:
This is what the bucket looks like before you install it into the car:
This is what it looks like when you lift your hood:
Here's what they look like from the front:
As for a review:
They look great and they light up the road ten times better than stock. While they are brighter than stock, They have a much better light pattern on the road. I would recommend this mod to anyone. I have had mine for over a year. The only thing negative is that since these are a lower height, Around 90 mph you can see the covers bobbing a bit from the wind. The stock height kept the headlight lids close to the stops so you didn't notice it. It's not a big deal, Just don't speed with the lights on.

I used POR-15 Chassis black. I just scuffed up the buckets with some 600 grit sandpaper and painted them. Once dry they looked like they were powder-coated.

dang Por15 is expensive, I guess I'll just be getting the pint.
Yes it seems expensive, But once you do your headlight buckets, Take out your trunk carpet in back, repair any rust if you have some then paint the inside and outside of the trunk. A little does go a long way.

Good news!! I called the Rally Lights company and spoke with the owner Dave. He said he would be happy to give us a 10% discount on the Hella 90mm lamps we need for this mod. I guess they've done this type of thing before for other groups around the country.
All you have to do is mention that your a member of "Pennock's Fiero Forum" at the time of order and they would apply the 10% discount to the total price. If your gonna purchase on-line just write in the remarks section that your a member of "Pennock's Fiero Forum" and they will apply the 10% discount there aswell.
I asked about the rubber end caps you (Fiero1Fan) mentioned. Dave said he didn't know what end caps I was talking about but he did mention that the US version of the lamps comes with an H9 bulb that has a rubber seal on it. It protects the bulb from anything as long as it's quarter turned during installation. Standard bulb here in the US. The European version comes with a H7 bulb that has a rubber boot which does the same thing. I obviously haven't done this mod to my car yet so I'm unfarmiliar with the rubber end cap deal also, but if you can clarify it up I'll call him up again if need be. Just let me know.
Anyway, that's it guys & gals. There is no time limit on this discount. As long as we keep buying them they will keep honoring the 10% discount for us.

Guys, they are on their way. I haven't received an arrival date for them. As soon as I have it I'll post it here and let Brad know so he can make plans to pick them up.
