I just finished doing the Westfest, so now I can devote a bit more attention to this event.
Just so folks understand, this is NOT A RACE. You get to drive your Fiero (or whatever car you bring) on a race track, at whatever speed you are comfortable, under safe and controlled conditions, with instructors teaching you how. You can learn a lot about your car, how to handle it, and it helps you be a safer driver. C'mon, folks, sign up! It's a lot of fun.

Yes! This is very true.

4. There will be ITA and ITB class racing guys there to get experience from. (I know I will be asking them for pointers)
Note: the race guys have their own class. Beginners will NOT be on the track at the same time they are driving, unless they are acting as instructors. You will NOT have people running you over. Just wanted to clarify that.

5. You get to find out what a great job Pontiac did with their design.
Yes, you will be AMAZED at how well your street Fiero does on the track.

Yes! This is absolutely true. I've become a MUCH safer driver, and am able to do stuff on the curves, safely, that I never could have done before going to track days and LEARNING the RIGHT way to drive fast!!!!
[quote]10. Fierobear needs our support!
I appreciate the sentiment, but remember - this is the 25th Anniversary Track Day, not mine! The 25th Track Day needs your support. I'm just organizing it because the guys who did the previous track days (20th and Wheatstock) said they didn't want to do it.
edit: correction...one of the guys who was involved with previous track days said he didn't want to do it. Noone else had committed to doing the track day at the point I took it up. Just for the record.

I know how ya feel - this is actually the main attraction for me also. but, its local for me.
there is GingermanRaceway - but its on the other side of the state - good 3 hr drive one way tho. that thursday is open - $150 for the day, $60 for the evening. but - from PA - this adds ALOT of driving to your plate. for anyone coming from the chicago direction - it would be a stop along the way. or, maybe everyone bring 10 cones, and we go to the silverdome parking lot, and....nm -

If you are holding out, now is the time. I spoke to fierobear via e-mail and things are not looking good. He needs to get a number of sign-ups in by Thursday or he will be forced to cancel the event.
I have only visited the track to spectate - but there have been several people here on the forum who have been there, and can tell more. from the looks of it - it is mostly a motorcycle track & Porsche Club track.

that is if you want to rent the track entirely for a club event. you can show up as an individual, if the track is not rented out. and - then there is the evening open "test-n-tune" session. at least that is the impression I got. will be calling tommarow. but - I would MUCH prefer Waterford Hills. have you found out about a paypal address so I can send the $ for the Waterford event?

If I have the parts we can make it happen. Is there anyone in the area that will pledge parts if needed??
yes - at the 20th - we had 1 car get in trouble - and it was up & going by the 3rd session. unless something unthinkable happens - you WILL be driving home. you will be sourrounded by a flock of Fiero guys. even on the caravans to the 20th and caravans going home form the 20th - there were Fieros in trouble - who got underway in no time.

Just put the registration and check (try to avoid PayPal) in the post office mail box. Don't think it will get to you by tomorrow though, maybe by Friday. Hopefully that's OK.
p.s. Forgot to put Kyle's drivers license # on the reg. PM me if you need it before the event.

I am sure I will have my truck and trailer there, most likely full of typical parts.
