To those who are worried about having a mechanical issue, and aside from the fact that there will probably be 100 guys in town who can fix a Fiero...consider the following. I drove my 88GT from California to both Michigan (20th) and Topeka (Wheatstock), drove the hell out of it on the track, and drove back to California with absolutely NO problems.

This is the last day - were are we with the sign ups?
We're extending the deadline for now. We have some additional sponsorship happening, and are working out details. I'll have an updated signup list later this morning, after we do some housekeeping with the Paypal account.

1. Christian Korey 2. Blake Moore 3. Carl Clevenger 4. Gene Hoesman 5. Paul Hosler 6. Paul Smith 7. Keith Gerhard 8. Ed York 9. Mike Fullagar 10. Steve Reid 11. Martin Kirstein
At $150 each, it would only be 15 people with our current sponsorship. If that amount is a problem, and you have already signed up, we will give you a refund (please let me know if it is a problem).
We're getting there, little by little.

I did this at the 20th and it was the highlight of my weekend! Unfortunately this time around I won't be able to enter but I highly recommend it to anyone who is interested in learning how to drive their car better.

This track day will have 3 groups: beginner, intermediate and advanced. Each group runs on the track separately, so if you're a beginner you will NOT have cars racing by you at twice your speed.

Not to rain on the party, but it looks like my car will not be track ready by the 24th. Show ready yes, but not track ready.
I am still good for the $150 to try to make this thing happen so you have not technically lost a car, just gained track space. Things may change, but I am not counting on it. Not much time left.

I have a feeling track day loses.... And here I had really high hopes of going to this.
We have another sponsorship offer for $100, bringing the total to $1450. This lowers the threshold to 13 people, at $150, which so far everyone has agreed they would be willing to pay. We have 11 people paid and confirmed, and I haven't checked for signups since around last Friday. We're not out of the woods completely, but we're closer than you might think.

I expect a few more will show up the day of the event, and there are some other local car clubs that might participate. There will likely be more than 13, but perhaps not a lot more. Yes, the track probably won't be too crowded.

who are the sponsers? I'll be sure to keep them in mind when I need stuff.
Two individuals, one of whom wishes to be anonymous. The other didn't specify. They aren't from any Fiero businesses. I'd sponsor, but it appears that I won't be able to go to the track day or the show. Business is way down for me, and on top of that my wife lost her job 2 weeks ago. That killed my chances to make the trip, and finances are tight. And it will cost a small fortune to make the trip from California, no matter how I'd go (even in a Fiero).

Bear, Sorry to hear things are rough. They're rough all over though. Keep plugging away, it'll turn around eventually.
Anyone else sign up? Don't get me wrong, I'd like to see it happen but if it doesn't, I don't need to keep a hotel room for a day I'm not there.
