I washed and waxed my '88 GT this past sunday (as mentioned in the "what did you to to your fiero today" thread) and I noticed the swirley pattern of buffing I did so I got a towel and polished it and damn... For a 20 year old paint job, it's lookin' good!
It was so nice out today I decided to take pics:

Not too bad, some dirt smudges on the door near handle and pretty rough around the gas door. BTW, the Grand Prix in the BG is mine too

Here's the other side. Notice the "reject" inspection sticker for no cat. conv.

And with no cat. you get nice black stains around your exhaust tips on the bumper cover:

Yep, shined up real nice!

Other side:

And the engine complete with braided steel EGR tube, Rodney vacuum lines, and crappy donar intake plenum & valve covers (my originals are in storage):

Thanks for looking!

Beautiful car. I've always loved the fastbacks in white.

very nice looking GT. I usually don't go for white cars but the fastbacks body lines really show in white.

My Red 88 GT's paint is looking pretty faded. Do you guys have any suggestions on getting looking good??? I am not able to afford a paint job this year, so I am looking at cheaper alternatives on making it look good for the time being.

I haven't tried this product myself, but it's getting rave reviews all over the web:

Thanks for the kind words everyone! She looks nice but don't be fooled... She needs a new paint job in the future. The paint's chipped pretty bad around the sunroof weatherstrip and the rear spoiler won't shine no matter what I do. Lots of spiderweb cracking in the paint on the nose and rear bumper cover.

I'm definitely going with white again so I'll have to mask the VIN#'s on all the body panels. Guess I'm a traditionalist, all my mods are pretty mild. Besides, my Grand Prix GTP is black and they go good together... like night and day!

My apologies I shouldn't have posted my questions in your thread. I should have posted a new thread. Sorry about that!
Still learning Message Forum etiquette.
