that does look like a fine way to go.

I've used the trunk latch twice - scary - but it works - tho it does bend it - and then I bend it back - and it will snap one day from that.

I've done the jacks underneath - and that gets scary when you reach the end of the jack limits, and need to put boosters under the jacks

what worked really nice last time, was I used old struts plates with hoops, and hoisted by them. but - this only worked, because I was also replaceing the struts & springs - so that stuff wasn't in the way.....after all - the strut plates do hold the weight of the car under normal conditions - so - they better be plenty strong enough.

Great to see the work begin. Wahoo!! There were so many days that I hated that car and so many days I love it!

I hope all goes well and the heating issue is easy for you. She sure is a fun ride - and sounds great!!

You do quick work - but your wife told me that when I met you guys... HA!

Keep us posted on the results. Glad you finally have the time to play with her.

I see you are in the "disconnect the brake lines" club. I take off the brakes, myself. Any advantage doing it your way over just pulling off the brakes - or were you going to bleed the brakes, anyway?

When I got that car, Yons (da lying bastard) had the brake lines in wrong on the driver side rear, so I bled the system after I got it.

Oh - thanks for showing your hooked strap method of raising the car. I never say that before, but I will be using it from now on! I'll be pulling the Formula engine real soon.

What flywheel are you swapping in, or out.

I am going to be pulling my trans again, just blew another Isuzu tonight. FRACK. Oh well, at least the new clutch is holding nicely.

well friday there was about 3 more hours worked on the car dropping the suspention to gain access to the trans. pulled the trans, replaced the flywheel , and i think i aligned the starter the correct way. today everything was all put back together in about 5 hours after fixing broken and burnt vac. hose's and a few odds and ends. tommorow after the battery is all charged and i recheck everything one last time i guess ill see how everything sounds.

old flywheel
