So about two months back I wrote an email to SCCA trying to get the fiero placed in the production class. I'm not sure if it will get the process moving quicker but the extra emails might show that we are serious. I've heard that the fiero is a little outmatched in the GT classes and the Production classes look a little more reasonable. If anything just let me know just to see if there are other people out there who are interested as well. Right now is I was told it is labled "tabled for more research"

The only Fiero I've ever seen running in an SCCA race around here was an old Huffaker car with a longitudinal Buick 3.5l V6. Cool car, and good driver too. Sorry I can't be of much help, other than that, the closest thing to a Fiero I've seen on the track was a Fiat X1/9 and it was just embarrassing.

A Fiero around here raced for 9 years in SCCA and had 8 wins, 18 Top-5 finishes, and the driver won Driver of the Year 2002. It was originally an 86 SE.

Why go for a production class? Do you have a car that is too built for IT but not enough for GT classes. The Fiero is outclassed in any class due to its design and size. What class are you racing in now?

If they were competitive, more people would run them. Flame all you want, but that is a true statement.

Your region may have a "run what ya brung" class (here we call those classes SPO and SPU) but the Fiero would really get beat in those classes.
