i know the mazda 3's have it
as do the new ecotech gm's (not sure if all, but i know the cavys do)
mr2's

friend has the mazda3 and i had to "fix" his ps the other day, looks like a very simple design, and im guessing you could pull a pump outa a junkyard rather cheap.

Per Wikipedia - Ford, Volkswagen, Audi, Peugeot, Citroen, SEAT, Skoda, Suzuki, Opel, MINI, Toyota, and Mazda use the electro-hydraulic power steering....
Audi A3, Honda NSX, Chevrolet Cobalt, Honda S2000, Saturn Vue V6, 2009 Toyota Corolla, Toyota RAV 4, Toyota Prius, Suzuki Swift and on most Fiat Lancia and Peugeot as also the Peugeot 307 model, use electric components, with no hydraulic systems at all.

My 06' Saturn VUE Redline has it.............worst feeling steering I've ever encountered. Spongy, vague, non-self centering, too slow at low speeds, very twitchy (and wanders) a high speed...SUCKS!!!

The MINI one is really good. I like it.

Not too loud either.

I think Renault is missing from that list. Wasn't there a thread of some adapting a Renault pump to the Fiero?

Good idea on the mini. I will be interested in following this when you do it. Soon I hope, cause I want to do this to my car too.
