I have a few pics from the NIFE meeting/Firefox Paint Presentation this weekend

There was a nice crowd on hand for the meeting... lots of Fieros and lots of friendly and familiar faces!

Here is the (generally photo-shy) Firefox/Mark beginning his presentation on automotive painting.

And my favorite photo of the day... Firefox taking a short cruise in the "Tytehead" powered Finale Roadster. Apparently it was a bit short of fuel (don't worry, the rest of us helped roll him back up the hill to Archie's shop).

Are those Solstice wheels on the car? The bolt pattern, if I remember correctly, is 5x110mm on the Solstice.

On the Finale Roadster? I believe those are Mille Miglia Wheels (although IIRC that exact, (?) The EVO5's(?) style may have recently been discontinued)

Yes, on the Finale. They look so much like the Solstice wheels, I wondered if the Fiero hubs were modified to fit the wheels.

Yes the wheels on the Finale are Mille Miglia EVO5's & as he said they have been discontinued.

I had a set of these on my Blue Fino & loved them so much that I got a 2nd set before they discontinued making them.

The 1st year the Solstice was shown at the car shows, it had these same wheels on it. In fact at the Chicago auto show that year Pontiac had the same wheels on 2 other prototye cars. I think the reason they were taken off the market is because Pontiac wanted that design. That notes, the wheels on the production Solstice are ever so slightly different in the shape of the spokes.

Whatever happened to the choptop #22 car and owner ??

It was a black GT.

Archie are you at liberty to disclose his PFF name or maybe someone else knows him ?

Just curious how his car is coming along and what his plans are for it.

Hey Archie are you ready to make a submission yet of any of your project cars? I know you have plenty of stuff but I guess you haven't had time to make a complete submission! We really do look forward to it and I think it will help the e-zine and you get exposure. Wish you could have made it to Fieros at Carlisle so we could have taken some pictures of our own, oh well. Keep me posted, email me!

I use a car carrier behind my Chevy 1500HD. Drove it from London to home... hmmmmmm good.

It's Wednesaday - calling for big thunder bangers tonight. What time does everyone meet at mapleview?

I'm out Cambridge way and can make it - but would prefer a day when it isn't pouring down like crap....

Dr. CPU

I think it would be safe to show up at the mapleview shows around 5 - 5:30? It runs pretty late and I'm usually there around 6:30 because of work.

The last few wednesdays have been crappy for weather, hopefully the next will be better!
