Thanks for all the suggestions! Two seem to jump out of the crowd. Since White Ghost is taken, how about White Lightning? But Magnum, V.8. sounds pretty good too! I'll let Archie decide since he's doing all the work.
BTW Archie, does the LS-2 weight about the same as the 2.8 V6? All aluminum vs all iron, maybe not much difference in weight??
Reference the flocking...used to see many many cars done like that in the UK, on the OUTSIDE!! Yes, it was all the rage in the seventies..minis. cortinas etc.. thought it was grotesque, but on the inside, a good idea! Nick

Doc John - beautiful replica. You're going to have a blast with that LS1 motor. I have a George Fejer 328 body kit on a '85 SE chasis - but I also have the 3800SC 1 engine - goes like stink. The fit on the body panels are A1 and anyone who's seen my car marvels at the workmanship - too bad he's out of business!
Archie - Is Randy Corson still around making targa tops for the Fejer kit or is the 3rd amigo to be out of business?

Randy is out of business, has been for about ten years. He made some great cars. The frame support that came with the targa top on my car turned out to be a little weak. Following the installation of the targa, the Fiero frame was supported by "C" frames that welded in around both doors, and an X-frame that bolted on underneath the car. It was flexing quite a bit, and you could see where the doors were rubbing against the body a few inches above the latches. We deep-sixed the X-frame and welded in one of Archies convertible sub-frame supports a couple of years ago. That seems to have fixed the problem.

We are reporting on Troy's car as we continue to get it ready to debut at the Daytona show which will feature a live appearance by Mr.TroyBoy hisself https://www.fiero.nl/forum/Forum2/HTML/069871.html
We have an LS2 6 speed swap that's going to start in the next few day & that I've been collecting parts for over the last 2 weeks.
I have my '88 Formula with the V-8 engine & a 6 speed in that I'm going to be driving to Daytona & I was reporting on here https://www.fiero.nl/forum/F.../HTML/024804-46.html That one's been together for 2 months & we haven't had time to test drive it yet.
We have Chuck's 383 LT1 Turbo car here that I reported on here https://www.fiero.nl/forum/F.../HTML/024804-46.html that is an ongoing project doing a Waterfall interior install & We're going to be Flocking it later this week (I hope) & tomorrow we are beginning a rush install of a new Quartermaster Clutch in it, We're kind of in a hurry on this one because Chuck plans to drive it all the way to Daytona for the 2nd year in a row in about 2 weeks.
In addition I have some punk in FL named ShaunFagCaliKid who keeps stalking me & has been sending foul & insulting messages thru the EBay message system. This guy is so jealous of me & everything we do, he will stop at nothing to insult, harass & stalk me.
Other than that, there's nothing to report here........... except maybe this..............

This is a little update on the interior work on Chuck's car (MotorTV).
Back on page 46 of this thread, we had fitted our new WaterFall interior panel into his Fiero. This is the trial fit car for that new panel, that was designed for my Finale Roadster, into a Fiero with a roof on it.
Over the last 2 weeks or so, Chuck decided that he was going to drive the car to Daytona again this year & he wanted to put a new QuarterMaster clutch in it. So the interior kinda got put off to the side for a few days. We finished with the Clutch swap about Tuesday & got on with finishing the interior.
So we Flocked the interior panels on Friday. We changed our Flocking method slightly & It came out really good. As with all Flocking, you tweek your method a little bit until you hit just the riht spot. Today you get to see what they look like before we put them in today.
Chuck will be bringing this car to Daytona, so you'll get a chance to see the WaterFall in his car plus I'll be bringing one that's not flocked.
Plus I'll be bringing a couple of Flocked Headliners.

I'm thinking around $199.95 including the new Fiberglass headliner. <~~~ (someone told me you'll sell a lot more if you price it like that instead of $200.)

I hadn't even thought of taking in outside flocking jobs & hadn't thought about any pricing structure for it..
Do you mean to flock it without the cloth on it? If so & if it's a color that we're flocking something else in maybe $30.00.

I didn't remember that you were doing one of these...I should have picked your brain in Daytona. How do you deal with the electronic drive by wire throttle on a crate motor? Do you have to get a pedal assembly from somewhere?

Why won't it work on the T-top and sunroof headliners? (Did I miss something?)
The reason is this...
A sunroof or T-top headliner has to have loose fabric that can roll over the edge and tuck into the molding strip to give it a nice edge. If you take one of Archie's flocked headliners and cut a hole in it the edges would not be pretty.
I suppose you could make the fiberglass curve up and close in the gap where the glass is, and not have it tucked in, (that's how the headliner in my trans am was)
Archie and I talked about this, but I don't know if he's willing to give it a try?

Yes, we're using the 'Vette Fly-By-Wire gas pedal.
This project has already moved to the point where we will be mounting the Engine/Trans to the cradle by Friday.
I gotta get a thread started on it ASAP.

a white car name i think i suggested before, be kinda long on a windshield or bumper though. "immaculate acceleration", kind of a play on "immaculate conception".

Both the LS2 car & the Chop Top #13 Suicide doors & 6 speed swap will be out the door within the next 2 weeks & both of them were put on the floor today.
I've been meaning to make some posts about the LS2 & the completion of #13 but I've just been swamped with work for the last several weeks.
I will bring both of these subjects up to date in the next few days.
Here are a few pics taken in the last few days.
These cars will be wrapping up in the next few days, so there'll be lots of pics.

So Archie, I know what flocking is but I know nothing about flocking parts, how well will the flocked parts hold up to normal wear and tear.
What I mean is, I'm sure the headliner will hold up as there is no actual contact between the driver/passenger and the headliner but what about the center console area where an arm will rest, how durable is this stuff, will it rub off eventually?
Thanks
Steve
