The FTP video was a little slow to download, but it worked, and was a bit better quality than the Youtube one (which also worked).

Yeah, that would be Jack Gunsett. He's a really nice guy. That is the only 4.9 6 speed in the country right now. I wish I could have made it to that show but the wife just isn't well enough that I can make any overnite trips anymore.

Chuck (MotorTV) was over at the shop today. He came over to beat on his car in my parking lot. It seems he was looking for an excuse to put in a 6 speed. He figured that if he could break something at my place then he could just leave it there for a 6 speed swap.
His car has a Getrag in it with about 100k on it. He had one of those import outboard C/V joints break on him a few weeks ago & has been shy about giving it heck since then.
As you can tell I just figured out how to make videos on my digital camera. I read the instructions, very small print, very big magnifying glass.
I shot about 6 videos of Chuck's car spinning the tires, but I didn't do very good at it. Then, in the spirit of the day, Chuck videoed my Formula & Solstice. Chuck did a lot better than I did, I guess 19 years behind the camera in TV makes a difference.
Anyway, I've uploaded a few of those videos already.
<~~~~~~ We got a letter from some lawyers out of CT. It went kinda like this "We represent Archie Comic Publications, Inc." ....."owner of the trademark"...... You can pretty well imagine where it went from there.
At least someone reads what I post.
Anyway, I need a new avatar that doesn't infringe on anyone's trademarks.

Wow. I bet some of your non-fans told them about it. What damage it could cause other than making the comic character more cool driving a V8 Fiero

I wonder what POS from this forum sent a letter to them reporting you for using their trademark? Shawn? Anyway...I don't think there is anything they can do about it. If i'm not mistaken.... it is only trademark violation if you are selling a product that utilizes their trademark. It's a simple avatar and 99% of all forum members (not just this forum) use images that are copyrighted. As long as you are not making money from thier tradmark then you can do as you please. I may be wrong?

My best advice when it comes to your Fiero is to "NOT" do any dealings with www.kitcarman.com
Actually I think that the Law firm or who ever just found it by doing a search for Archie.
I don't really feel like getting in a pissing match with them. I've been known to friends & Co-workers (when I had a real job) as Archie since High School, & my dad was known as Archie since before WWII so they can't touch that. Besides, I never really liked the Archie Comics anyway.

Nice to know that Lawyers in CT read the Fiero Forum...
They can't stop you from calling yourself Archie... and your website is pretty secure in being called V8Archie... We don't need that cartoon image anyway.
I'm sure the creative minds on here can come up with something. I just hope I don't get a call from Buzz Aldrin asking me to stop using his image?

Hey, Archie, if you need me to see anything in particular on that harness, post pics here. I can check it at work if needed. I'm trying to get ahold of Speartech as well.

There's not much to post pictures about.
We have done some more checking, give me a call as soon as you can 800-891-3608.
Archie I have a question about the decklid scoop on number 13...what is it? I really like the way it looks. Is it a combo of things or totally home made or what?

I still get that fuzzy feeling when I see that car....same as the first time I saw it on V8Archie.com when it was first done, and then every day I saw it in my garage after I bought it..... Nice to see how well Dave has taken care of her.
