I have the OK from Bubba to have the brake brackets made and to sell them. I will get w/ my brother this weekend, and get some made. They shouldn't be too expensive. I will only charge for materials, and a bit to make it worth his time. As Bubba requested, I won't try to get rich from them. I will post once more here with the link to the mall thread. Bubbajoe, I need the drawings for the rear brackets if you have them.

Thanks,
Kris

I'm currently doing this swap on a 87 GT using 86 front calipers and 88-96 rear calipers. I'm curious how you managed to get a 88vette rotor to fit on the rear without using a spacer behind the rotor? I had to make a integrated spacer/consentric that moved the rotor .170" away from the bearing.

Without the spacer the rotor will hit the areas circled in yellow below-

if you use 88 rear rotors as per the part numbers I posted they do not need a spacer at all they do not hit any where as the rear rottors are shorter in the hat area

sluppy123
from your pics you are using front rotors on the rear. You should be using rears and your adapter would be only 5/16 thick rear rotors have 2 extra holes in them near the outer edge for ebrake ajustment when used with internal brum ebrake as in the pic provided

I now understand why i needed a spacer, I chose to use front rotors on all four corners.

Regardless if it's a front or rear vette rotor the thickness of the adapter does not matter.

Also a note to anyone using the 88+ rear calipers, I don't see any way of using the stock e-brake cables, they are too short. I'm having to make custom cables.

the caliper bracket you see on my rotor is an 88 bracket and it is the same one you use to hold your caliper on as the 84 to 87 brackets are nolonger avalable from gm you have to use the 88 one on the rear

You know, this is one body kit that could use the spare GT lower front valance cut off and flipped over to make a bigger air dam up front. It would balance out the front to back wedge look.
I noticed the GT side skirts are missing.

I think he means for you to do is to camfer the inside edge on one side so it will fit snuggly againts the flange. If you look at your flange, you'll notice that the transition between the hub and the flange is rounded. If you don't camfer the ring it won't fit flush.

I think the fastback clip would make the stretch less noticable. Have you given any thought to that Bubba? I dont like the wagon look but, to each his own. BTW awsome work on that swap... reminds me of the Binford Fiero I saw at Carlisle.
