if you update the master use the 72 to 80 Vette master plenty of volume and it is made for 4 wheel disk dont use the s10 you are gaining nothing as it is the same bore as a Fiero and is for drum rear disk front not a good combo

What about a master cylinder from a newer 4WD S-10. They have 4 wheel disc brakes. I would like to use one that has the plastic resivoir on it so the vehicle will look newer. I've also heard you can use one from a newer Tahoe. You need an adjustable proportioning valve though.

as i posted before the vette is the best the new cars are anti lock and rely on the system pump to make up the extra fluid so I would not use them they are also low volume

Thanks for the info. I've been trying to figure out how to improve my brakes, looks like I'm gonna go this way!

Any more pictures of the car? Or have you spent the majority of your time on drivetain recently? Looking forward to the finished product.

I'm assuming you have to turn the Fiero rotor down to make a hub like the Grand Am conversion?

I'm not saying I don't beleive you, but it there is 3/4" of clearence to the inside od a 16" rim, a 15" rim is only 1/2" closer (clearence is on the radius not the diameter) doesn't that still leave a 1/4"? Or is the problem with 15s less in the diameter clearence and more in the inside face of the wheel? Yes, I realize I'm grasping here, but I want to keep my 15s for autocrossing so I don't have to by yet another set of rims, and this is definitely a sweet brake upgrade. + for you even if they don't fit inside the stock 15s

Thanks,

the rear will be done as a multi caliper setup with a small mecanical rear caliper unless I can find a set of 95 to 2000 rear vette calipers as the rear upright must have the old brake setup completely remved and a new adapter that mounts under the wheel bearing installed to hold every thing will post pics of every aspect of the rear vette swap including the diagrams with diamentions

Second question since I forgot to ask last post. On the concentric ring, did you fabricate that as well, or are you just useing something similar to a washer for this?
Looks more like you would have to make that ring than just find something like that happend to be in your tool box.

Thanks Joe!

I have a question. What exactly is a cut down rotor? Is it a stock fiero rotor with the braking surface cut off and just the hub left? This is then placed inside the corvette rotor and new bolt holes must be drilled in the rotor for the fiero boltpattern? I think I just answered my own questions. Great pictures, where did you buy your rotors and calipers from?

Thanks Again
