Every time I see the defrost strips... It makes me giggle.

Hmm. For some reason in New York, every car (including the Fiero) must have functional rear defoster heat strips on the window. I could always hook it up to existing defoster switch.

will the front of that trunk be 're-shaped?' so it seals off in a different area?
Yes. Archie and I discussed this last week. Archie corrected me about masking off the lower exposed area using darkened window tint. He said that it would block the rear view so that idea was tossed and he's going to cut' n glass a piece in the area underneath the glass (on top of the cut trunk section).

Curley, that car is just flat out SICK!!!!! I can't think of a single thing that I don't like about it. I hope you don't mind, but I may have to "appropriate" a few of the design elements into mine as things take shape.

LOL, I think you should hook it up...
It's the law in NY. My Proud-1 was a NY car and came with a functional rear window defogger. I actually liked it, I found that in the humid climate of Houston, the heat from the engine would fog the window. I lost my defroster rear window in the chop, and I miss it. I still have the glass though, I might put it on my Indy someday

This has given me thought for a while of what would a Chrysler Crossfire rear hatch with an operational spoiler look on a Fiero, chop or not. Photoshoppers, could you have a go with these pics?

Yea, it'll cut into the trunk but have a resculped rear with wraparound taillights like the Honda Civic Si Coupe
I looked into it and found that the distal end of the rear glass is sloped downward at a very step angle which mimicks the Crossfire's buttrist. IMO the only options (so far) are the Audi's rear hatchback glass. Granted, anything is possible and more cars on the market are being produced for our "pipe dream" comsumption. Currently I'm eye ballin' the Hybrid Prius rear deck window for a future project. It's similar to the Ford GT but 1k less. The Lexus sport 2-seater coupe is another candidate for rear window application.

As for #015 and #020 being painted. #020 will be painted in 2007 prior to the CTHC II in Viper red or something along those lines. #015 is on the back-burner now but, I'm looking at maybe black? I have a few ole' tricks for this car and the color black will make it "popish." I still haven't abandon the "stealth" look. Granted, nothing is etched in stones so I continue to pipe out new ideas and colors....just ask Tony, hehe.
