How are you guys getting cheaper gas than I am? Usually Cedar Hill is about the lowest place in the Metroplex, but it was $3.06 yesterday. Either way, I'm glad it's going down. Luckily (ha, ha) I don't have a 401k or any investments to lose... but Jed lost $5 a share on GM yesterday
Stephen, I'm finally going to go out and replace that fuel return line here in a minute... wish me luck.

I put this in the wrong post:
If you wanna swap springs with me then I am game. Mine are to low for me and I need to get some that sit the front end up higher. Mine front end sets about the same as Reinke's.

I didn't know who you were talking to with that Yeah, sounds like a deal to me... unless my wheels hit since they are bigger than yours (what tire size are you running, I'll do a quick circumference check). We could do it at your coilover party!
Fuel line is replaced... I wasn't able to get a new return line (dealer only, blah, blah, blah), so I cut the quick disconnect off the top end and clamped it to regular 3/8 fuel hose then ran that to the hard line... that should be okay, right? It smells less gassy anyway, so I'm happy.
Oh, and before I forget again, driver side non-power mirror housing! Jed wasn't able to find one at the junkyard so his is still smashed. Somebody have one? $20 at the Ruckus to anyone who does.

I run 16 inch wheels with 225/50/16 tires.
Anything better than what was on there is better. I am suprised that that line has not let loose yet.
Okay, looks like my 205/40/17 is much smaller than your 16 so it should work fine... unless because of that my springs are actually the same length as yours? I'll ponder that for a bit.

Good story Tom. When I started driving around 1962 I purchased regular gas for $.18 a gallon several times., I had a 59 Corvette with a 409 and two 4's on top. Got three miles to a gallon on a good day-. Neet car though.
If I could make my Fiero pull like that!!!!!!!!

Poe, prices are still more expensive than when I bought the fuel for you last time in February. They might go down before Friday... I can check on Thursday for you, but I doubt specialty fuels will recover as quickly as gas that is brought in several times a week.
Prices Are:
109 Unleaded = $7.80 116 Unleaded = $8.00 110 Leaded = $7.50 ( <--- this is what I bought you last time (( I wanna say it was like $5.40 eight months ago ((( i didn't know it was leaded! (((( no idea if that matters or not ))))
If anyone else needs for me to pick them up race gas, LMK.

I didn't know the 110 you got me last time was Leaded--That explains why my O2 sensor took a dump on me.--JK Get me 2 gallons of the 109 unleaded.

And why your cat went out?
.20 more, why not get the 116, and dilute it with like 2 remaining gallons of 93 left in your tank?
The difference... (based on if you just had 2 gallons of 93 in the tank) would be running a net 105 octane (if you bought 116 race gas) or 101 octane (if you bought the 109 race gas)
You're call of course... I'll get you whatever you want.
-or- (make sure you are not in an enclosed garage)... taking a windex bottle of water... take the intake snorkle off, and misting water straight into the intake will bust the carbon off the top of the pistons, and start it burning. The smoke will be whiter and more abundant than a crop duster though.

i put that stuff in my tank every once in a while. wanted to suck it through the intake but not sure what hose to connect it to. thought about doing the misting water trick too.

I'm really iffy on if I can attend. I just told Blake I cannot but HATING TO MISS OUT I may have to take an early morning drive up there and return Late. That Sunday is our 6 Years wedding anniversary, 11 years together. Stu
Got my costume. Just need to change my oil and clean the car I can't wait. Hope the gas stays down will make the drive a lot more enjoyable, way more than the $4.70 I paid in Chicago for the 25th. Can some one bring me a driver side power window switch?

Blake or Amber, We are gonna come in Saturday morning. You don't have a time posted to be at at Kit McConnico Park for the Show and Games on page one. Are you guys all gonna drive over there as a bunch, or just drift over one by one? Are you guys planning to have a Saturday morning breakfast as a group, and if so where?

I changed my flights into Texas to land in Houston that thursday. On friday, I will drive to Ft. Worth to check in to my new unit and hit the road back south for Lufkin. I'm not sure what time I will actually get into Lufkin, but I have some of your numbers. Look forward to seeing y'all again!

Good call Joe I am also rolling in on Saturday morning and need to know when and where and maybe an actual location of the park.
Chris, I found the park on Yahoo Maps. Its on the northeast side, near the motel, just outside of Loop 287. How are you guys gonna come up? I45 to Huntsville then over to Hwy 59, or up 59 from Houston? And what time. Maybe we can meet up again like we did for Spring Fling. Joe
I got gas in Livingston today for $2.92. Down .32 in the last 6 days
Approximate arrival time is 9am (maybe 10 for us late risers), no formal breakfast is planned as the hotel offers room service, free continental breakfast in the lobby, and there is a breakfast place next door (where we are meeting Sunday morning). Not sure if we'll travel as a pack to the park or not, probably not since it is so close it would hardly be worth staging up for. Either way, I'll make sure Blake is there bright and early to mark our area
I will be away from the internet starting Thursday morning, so any questions past that point can either be answered by Blake or you can call me at 214-868-0668. We will be hitting Lufkin between 3-5pm Friday so I will see yall then!

Is anyone beside Blake, Tom, Stephen, Daniel, Jed and myself planning on coming into town Friday night? It's not sounding like it so I'll just say you guys are going to miss a cool pizza place and I'm sure lots of good conversation. You guys know the rules, if you aren't there we get to say whatever we want about you behind your backs
Jim, are you and Tim coming together... Friday or Saturday?
Anyway, UFO Pizza around 7pm-ish Friday on the South side of the loop for any Friday nighters.
ALSO, Lufkin (Angelina County) is DRY. You'll want to bring your own alcohol for the evening gatherings or you can buy at the hotel bar, but I'm not sure what their prices might be like. Just so you know.

I work that monday and she'll be sleeping through the day on Saturday so she's not worried about it. Plus we went to the FAIR this weekend and spent any extra that we had.
Kaydence and I may show up early Saturday and stay through the day. On the ride I'll be closer to the back of the pack for K's sake.

When I t/w the hotel... I thought they indicated that the county ordnance had recently chnaged... (as in this past election cycle)... and that you could now buy beer & wine. Not 100% sure on that one though.
If someone has room for a cooler... plz bring it.
I am still on target to be leaving on Friday Morning... Does the Friday caravan have a preferred time they want to meet,... and a location for that matter?
** the following is just a suggestion ** feel free to offer something else! Slick, we are not doing my fuel pump after all... I reckon I can catch you around 0930 in Arlington off 20- Bowen... and then we can meet Stephen at say E Palestine St exit and I-45 at the Whataburger there around 1000. It's on the right and easy to get on and off the freeway. Get a bite for the road... and then about 2-3 hours later stop for lunch in Crockett. Then take more twisty roads to Lufkin.

Kit McConnico park around 0900. Please note... that is a VERY loose interpretation of when I might show up. But... we do want to spend a least 3 or 4 hours there for visiting and games. If you show up to that area early... I highly suggest driving on past the park... the road is narrow and fantastic. Lots of portions are competely overshadowed in branches.
If you are approaching the Park from the North on 287... even though the park physically is on your left, you will take a sharp right when you see a sign that says Park, or maybe (Moffet Rd?)... it pretty much makes a 270 degree turn and drops UNDER 287.
