We had a great time at the 1/4 miler. pumkincarriage, Poe, Daniel, and 1st timer Chane representing the Fiero's.
Lot's of us were in the cheering section.

PC and Chane rolling up to the line. PC's paint positively glimmers in bright sun.

You can see who got the 60' here... but Chane was a strip virgin too
The cars sounded great pulling away, PC's winding out to 7500rpm... and Chane with the v8.
This first pass, Chane was bouncing (A lot!) off the rev limiter in each gear, by the time he left the strip, that problem was pretty much fixed, and his times were dropping.

Daniel and PC pulling away from the Geen Tree.

Chane on his 2nd pass. That being a Texas car now... bubba you need to get some dark tint on that sucker!

Poe getting ready to take down a new Audi. Poor guy didn't know what hit him... no contest.

uhm... like I said... no contest.

PC graciously let me take her car out for a few passes. Then the strip caught on that I was not PC...
Wonder what tipped them off?

LS1 6spd vs. 3800SC 5sp. This was a very close race... I think Daniel won 13.5 to 13.7

Look at the lift in the SS on this action shot!

FFTW! (Fiero For The Win)

Chane wound up getting squared off with a bit more than he could chew...

what's a track day without a burnout shot?

PC catches the green against a blue oval

Probably my favorite picture of the trip.

You got some really good pictures Blake, I can't believe you made us wait a month to see them

R.I.P 4T60E, these pictures were it's last hard run... lost 2nd gear a few days ago, and according to my manual that is due to "excessive low end torque wear"

sorry about that PC... it has just been very busy for me... and I have to resize each pic, 1 by 1... ugh.

Sorry to hear about the tranny Can you get by just using the gear selector? Use it to grab 1 & 3... bypassing 2nd?

Now, Blake, I know you know as much (okay, more) about these computer things as I do, so you must have a good reason for not using the 2 ways I know of for resizing pics quicker than that. One is that Photobucket will resize them when you upload 'em (although I see you're using PIP). Posting them from there is a breeze, too. The other way is with the image resizer, I think it's from MS-Power Tools, which I heard about here on PFF. I love it. And you can use the CTL or Shift button to select more than one, then right click and choose Resize. Nothing to it. So why aren't ya doin' that?

And there is no way for me to bypass 2nd, the only way to get to third is to put it in drive and to go from manual 1st to D would of course require getting through 2nd.

Stuart, you have a PM.

And embarrassingly, I resize one at a time also... so don't feel too bad Blake.

I wanted to say on this tread to all of you fellow Texans that I have enjoyed all of the events that I have been to, that you have participated in. I will be away from Fieros for a while because mine will be gone Sunday. Of course, Fieros are now in my blood so I`m sure that sometime in the future I will have one again. I now have so much more knowledge of Fieros that I wished I had when I first looked at getting one, and thanks to this forum and a lot of you personally I now know much more.

awww Mike man... Dude... I already miss you!
Yep, you're family now. Don't be a stranger. Any NTFC event is open to you... or anything you drive.

(unless it is an MR2)

Stu/Chuck...

guys, i didn't know anything about these other programs. I am not interested in photobucket... isn't that the thing that like spits out red X's a bunch?

These resizer programs you are typing about. Will they do this?
What I want is something that will give my image the max PFF width (as much as possible)... which is 800 pixels... AND size the data portion of the image down to about 144k or lower (given that PFF's max is 150k... and I like seeing pics... not having to click on a 'disply image icon') in one fell swoop?

Again... resize to 800 wide and below 144k (keeping good quality) in one step?
If they can't... then my interest suddenly wanes. If I am going to take the time to post a pic, I want it as big and nice looking as I can.

TXG your post sounds like you'd just rather have a different model. So what do we need to get Stephen to put together for you?

Blake depending on the coloration of the photo I get different results. I resized one photo that was 1.2Megs at camera resolution to 800x600 and it turned into 152k I resized another and it went to 74k at 800x600. Most of the photos that get posted to the forum are at 640X480 and they almost always turn out to less than 75k usually between 40-60k. You also have the choice to resize original photos or resize with new copies. This is where you get imagename(medium).jpg or imagename(small).jpg etc etc. it resizes any photo out there.

I have never posted a pic from the powertoys resizer that had to be clicked on to view. But then again, I only recently got a 10 mp camera. My best example of using this camera is from the daily driver thread going on now. My original of this pic was 3.63 mb, and now it's just over 66 kb...

With photobucket, you only have red x's when you move files to other folders (or delete them) without editing any posts linking to the first location. Thankfully, photobucket gives you lots of space. I've got 28 folders of pics ("albums") there and I don't pay a dime.

Oh, I get it... you're just using all this as a way to get us to keep bumping the topic. Clever!!!
