Hey everyone, I was asked in O/T a few weeks ago if I was going to do the Secret Santa thing again this year. I had a few people interested in it again. Figured with the economy being what it is, we might not get a lot of takers this year but I still wanted to give those people a chance who wanted to do it. I'm posting this early so hopefully everyone will get a gift by Christmas!!
If you don't know me, I'm Darlene I've been heading this up for the last 2 or 3 or more years, I can't remember now!
If you don't know what Secret Santa is, it's just a gift exchange from people on the board. You sign up with me and I randomly draw a name for you to buy for. Someone else gets your name too. You buy a gift for your person and mail that gift out. You watch the mail and a gift should show up. Pretty simple. We usually limit the amount of the gift to $20 - $25. If you do sign up, remember this is the internet and we don't know exactly who is behind the user name so, there might be some people that take advantage and not send one. With the help from some friendly Fiero folk and me the past few years, we got everyone something.

You can also do a search for Secret Santa and there will be a gifts received thread and a Dear Secret Santa I want...... thread from last year too. That will give you an idea of what to expect.
If you want to play, please post here and PM me your name and address. I won't give your address out to anyone other than that person who is buying the gift for you. So, please don't worry about that. If you don't know me and don't think you can trust me, ask around. I'm sure a few people will vouch for me. lol I know it's early but I'm trying to get a jump start on this. I'll keep sign ups up for about a week, week and 1/2.
Please don't sign up if you know you won't have the time or money to do this. I don't get on here much on weekends so if you don't hear anything from me this weekend, I'll be back on Monday to check in.

Why not just have the Aussie's have each other's names there? Most likely it will cost more to ship than is spent on the gift.

If you would get it there around Christmas that would be terriffic. No need to rush out right now and mail it. I just wanted to give people enough time to find something and mail it out. A lot of people end up ordering over the internet and things tend to take some time. That's the reason I started this early.
I'm still waiting on a couple of people to get back with me.....so, I might be in touch with a few of you, that I know a bit better than others, to maybe switch things up a bit. If I do ask you to switch, please don't feel obligated. I'm just trying to get everyone in.

I have been racking my brain for something that I wanted for the fiero. I have RUSS88GT making some T-Top sun inserts. If my secret santa wanted to throw something against that. Maybe the coin tray for a beechwood interior. The car is not in need of anything really....ahh decisions, decisions. Or we could just go with a complete surprise...

i will say that i felt that the person i sent gifts to last year was unappreciative.
Even if you DON'T like what was sent to you. Know that your santa spent time, and money in hopes of making you happy. you should at least acknowledge the effort.

Yeah, Buddy has a good point. Quite a few people were dissapointed last year that their receipients didn't even guess or post that they got their gift. Half the fun of this is guessing who sent the gift!! So please don't forget to post when you get your gift, what you got, and who you think it's from!!!

I am still debating on my SS Gave some good ideas but I like to give things a personal touch. *sigh* maybe this weekend I will have some time to look and decide what to get
