That's hilarious!

I have a friend who hates Fieros because years ago, his Camaro was totalled when some guy T-boned him in a Fiero. So he's hated Fieros ever since!

He does hate it when I tell him that the vette is a front engine fiero on steriods. (Just kidding vette guys) But he hates it none the less.

Hey, wait now. Show him these:

1984-88 Pontiac Fiero Space Frame

Current Corvette under the skin (what was that you said about a front engined Fiero on steroids? LOL:

Current Pontiac Solstice under the skin:

HMMM...apparently the Fiero WAS ahead of it's time.

I think one of the big issues were the mechanics that tried to work on them without full knowledge of things like the location of the coolant tubes. They crush them lifting the car and now it has overheating issues. Another is the correct procedures for bleeding and burping.

Yeah- I here so many comments like "those Fieros always had 'cooling' issues." Bzzzt! No, they had operator errors. The cooling systems worked fine. LOL

Why do you care what other people think? All that matters is that you like Fieros.

Any car can catch fire if there's a mechanical problem. Even 1/4 $million and up cars... https://www.fiero.nl/forum/Forum6/HTML/054742.html

In any event, the biggest haters seem to be those "over 40" people with no "real" knowledge about the car, but looong memories of the negative media coverage of the 148 car fires reported to NHTSA (out of +370,000 built). Now IF someone bought a Fiero and had nothing but problems "worst car I ever owned", I can understand why they'd dislike them.

When we have a get together at the local burger joint, you sometimes have some ricer driving by with his buddy in the passenger seat (who doesn't even have a car?) hanging out the window yelling "Fieros suck". Makes you wonder if they had their asss handed to them by a Fiero.

My Fiero sucks.
It's part of the 4 cycle combustion sequence:
SUCK - SQUEEZE - BANG - BLOW
