light pole. The pic doesn't look too bad but the passenger side floor was crushed all the way into the center console. The Mile High Fiero Club helped me swap the motor into my new fiero in 1 day.

Being a new driver, and looking at this thread was an eye opener. I am glad someone started it.
I see three beautiful Fieros that were totaled because certain people where driving with lack of sleep. They are all lucky to be here posting the pictures today. The reason why all these Fieros are totaled was not what I expected. I see not one, animal caused damage.( Deer, Moose, Caribou...etc...). Where I live in Nova Scotia, it was a morning that I couldn't imagine, I turned on the radio to hear that a man in his 40's was killed in a one car accident. He was driving home in clear, no snow, no ice, and mild temperatures. ( It was weird weather.) He feel alseep at the wheel, and went into a ditch, he was killed instantly. I couldn't imagine being his family, loosing a father/husband/grandfather on Christmas Eve, because he wanted to make it home for Christmas. He never made, it home, and he never will.
Drive Safely! Drive Awake!
Thanks, for starting this thread, I am pretty sure it has opened a few eyes, to the amount of cars totaled due to lack of sleep.

well i've had two accidents with two different fiero's. unfortunately i didn't take pictures. my first fiero was i was racing somebody when i had a 17" rear tire blow out on a V8 fiero... completely totaled. it scared me to get into my next fiero that i have no and i hit a deer in the front passenger side fender and it's head bounced off my windshield. ( https://www.fiero.nl/forum/A...070315-1-062200.html ) lol... they can hold up to some serious abuse! if i didn't trust it i would never put my 2 1/2 year old in the car with me.

Except mabey for that last gold one,
the passanger compartments seems to stay intack.
Helps confirm what I allready knew. Fiero are safe and not the "death trap" that I heard 5 times a day in the 90s.

oh and bring out the box or broken parts, we have nothing but time.

Yes he was thrown from the car. A friend of mine took those after leaving a shooting match. He came upon the car and didn't know what it even was until he looked harder. He then email me the pictures in amazement knowing I was into Fieros. He said the religious card on the visor must have worked in this case.

Here are a couple more from the orignal pictures.. Rick

Wow, this thread really proves that fieros are still safe on today's roads. My boss was telling me about how unsafe fiero's are becuase he knew someone who died in one I told him about how safe they are. Some people just don't believe not matter what.

This unfortunate accident happened tonight while I was attempting to limp my car the 3 miles home. I had been having alternator problems and they had come to plague as I was making my journey to Las Vegas. I got about 3 miles into my 100 mile trip and my volt meter was falling fast. I pulled over cause I knew I had to finally take my alt out and see what internals needed to be replaced. I had grabbed a spare rear half of another 94 amp alt before I left Alamo since I knew I would prolly end up on the side of the hwy rebuilding mine. Anyways I shut the car off thinking I would have enough juice left to start my car... ha ha ha The Fiero Gods must have been upset with me cause that bit of juice wasn't there. I called my friend and told him where I was and that I would try to rebuild it before he got there. Come to find out the brushes were still quite good, but the diodes had obviously melted. I inspected my spare only to find the same thing. So when my friend and his dad got there I put my alt back together and in the car. We jumped my car with a jump box and let the box charge my batt for a few mins, and we were on our way back to town so I could get another alt. I took off in front knowing that with my headlights on my batt would only last so long. Well I was very right on that assumption. The batt got so low that I only made it about a mile before the engine wouldn't run with the headlights on, no the fans were not going and no other acc's were in use either. As the car was costing below 20 I found myself trapped with guard rails on either side and a semi coming south bound and my friend and his father coming up in the rear view. I tried flashing my brake lights as well as my hazards to no avail, since the semi still had his brights on. Then all of a sudden, WHAM. The lights went out for me. These are the results of a 3/4 ton chevy impacting the rear of a fiero at ~70:

Yes the rear bumper landed in front of my car. I don't know how.

What's left of the passenger rear.

The 2500 Chevy truck.

Yet another shot of the rear.

I will post more pix and more info as I remember. Last two days are mostly blank after the accident.
[EDIT] With only some scratches and head trauma, people still wonder why I claim Fieros to be so safe. This is the second one to save me from the reaper, and I will get another one! Maybe a 4cyl this time so if/when I wreck it I won't feel so bad.

LOL Well I'll let the court system deal with him, no he didn't get a DUI but I will be working on a settlement.

As promised I have returned with more pix, I should have some x-rays later tonight or tomarrow if they're of any interest (head hurts pretty bad and I'm not feeling all that well) Anyways on to the PIX!!!

At least my hood and qtr windows survived.

Has anyone ever had this happen with a sunroof? We couldn't find the rest of it even though I had tinted it.

One of my tool boxes that added structure...

And my other tool box, now the only question is, How do I get them out? Notice the nice crease in the box, lol.

My personal favorite. Can anyone guess what they're looking at?

I thought about doing something similar to my ex-wife's car when I found out she was banging someone from the church-bowling-league... But then I realized it was still in my name and insurance... and it really wouldn't do me much good :/

my brothers corvette (a little off topic, but hes on this forum as a former fiero owner, and hes my brother)

what happens when you drive 150+ mph
one fractured rib, lungs collapsed 6 times, coma for 3 months, brain damage, rehab for 1 year, pending discharge from the navy and over 1.5 million in medical bills.

this is the 95 corvette after the wreck as seen through the fence of alabama's hwp station
This images is larger than 153600 bytes. Click to view.
this is his first sign of life after they lifted all the pain meds in desperation

its been over a year now, and i have my brother back to normal. if you think these carnage pictures are cool...think again. its serious stuff folks. please be carefull. id hate for your mothers to go thru what my mother did. she had a stroke in the hospital while my brother was in a coma. shes fine now...but this stuff hurts more than the driver....
