Vector graphics (also called geometric modeling or object-oriented graphics) is the use of geometrical primitives such as points, lines, curves, and polygons, which are all based upon mathematical equations to represent images in computer graphics.
Vector graphics is an alternative to raster graphics, which is the representation of images as an array of pixels, as it is typically used for the representation of photographic images.

You could have just said "crisp line art, rasterized, or Object oriented graphics are also referred to as vector file format because they use vector (distance and direction) information to described a shape. ( ai., eps.,etc )
Instead of pixel images ( very tiny boxes times millions ) like photoshop psd., jpeg. or tif.

I'm glad you cleared that up for us. I completely understand now.

Thanks a bunch for posting. Are there other "Fiero inspired" logos too? Like the "new logo" or others? I'd like a Lamborghini bull inspired logo, except that it's obviously Fiero/Pegasus. :dreaming:

Except it isn't technically accurate, not that it really matters. Vector as a 2D image format has been around a lot longer than 3D graphics. Vector simply means lines and curves plotted mathematically. Bezier, anyone? 3D polygonal meshes might be considered a superset of vector (lots of vectors combined).
Sorry, this thread isn't really about image formats. I'll leave it alone.
