More like the opposite See for some reason I put a little checkmark next to your name originally thinking you were already somebody else’s Secret Santa. So Slinger being pretty much the only person left, making it on both the list of Secret Santa and on the search results of people from Pennock’s in Michigan. Even when I "unchecked" you, the map I was looking at, still made seem like it would of been a 3 hour trip to the store and back for you. It wasn't until I "Map quested" your ... "BINGO" ... This is doable
So, ...are you? Don't make me peel that label Tina

Aurora, your SS had problems with the company he got your gift from. He told me to tell you he's sorry and he's not usually this way at all (I can vouch for that) , but he reordered the gift and hopefully it will be on it's way soon. He said he's pretty sure you'll like it!

God, this is really getting frustrating for me!!!!!!!!
PLEASE IF YOU DIDN'T SEND THE STUFF OUT WHEN YOU SAID YOU DID, LET ME KNOW. I DON'T LIKE TO LOOK LIKE AN ASS TELLING PEOPLE THEIR STUFF IS ON THE WAY AND HAVING THEM WAIT FOR NOTHING.........
I REPEAT.....LET ME KNOW!!!!
I wont be mad or hold it against you!! I just want to get everyone something.
Those of you who've volunteered to help out again. You might be getting pm's from me.
Darlene, give it a little more time. Been a rough year for a lot of folks, especially for the last 3 months & as you said earlier, "crap happens" ---even to the best intentioned members. If my SS is having a tough time of it, or other difficult circumstances of any kind, it's ok--really--it is.

Don, I know.......you're like me, I'd rather give than receive. I guess that's why I want everyone to get something. lol
Maybe I was a little harsh up there, it's just that I'm the one that looks like a fool when I tell someone something is on the way and they are waiting and waiting and nothing. Or when I send out pm's to people asking if they received their stuff and don't get any responses. Then I have the Santas asking me to ask them and I try but I don't hear anything, and I end up feeling bad because I can't tell them whether they got their stuff or not. It gets frustrating......I just ask for a pm in response, one way or another. It gets a bit old, when you see people posting and your pm's to them are ignored.
There are enough people out there that pm'd me and are willing to help if need be, but do they need to help, I don't know, because I don't hear from anyone.
I know times are tough right now, and I've never outed anyone like a lot of people want me to do. I guess I just want to hear from them. I don't like guessing......
My husband keeps on telling me why do I let it bother me, but I just want to do the best for everyone involved and it means seeing it through to the end.
I have recieved my secret santa gift! I have no idea from who but they really went all out. Leather gloves, some work gloves, sunvisor CD holder, customizeable licenseplate cover, and various christmas candies.....
Yeaaaa I come home and under my door matt what do I see ?
A box with a Postal Sticker on it telling me its already damaged...lol.
I open it up and what do I find......
The mother load of presents I got a bracelet that the wife will confiscate. A futureristic looking pen that has a small L.E.D. in the tip but I see no place for a battery? Three books that I am sure to enjoy. A new u.f.o. looking saucer loaded with L.E.D.s that could serve as my next dome light. This thing could light up a room.
and a really nice flashlight that I have no idea what kind of battery it takes. Its a speical kind though. And a nice micro fiber towel for the car. The box has no return adress and I am really bad at guessing. Could you please let me know who you are and tell me how the pen lights up and what kind of battery the flash light takes? Thanks a bunch for everything! Thanks to Dar also for hosting this event.

I'm not your SS, but I'm guessing part of the pen unscrews to access the battery. It's probably a hearing aid/watch type battery (possibly more than one). Have you tried to twist the pen to activate the laser/light? How about pushing in the clip?
Doesn't it have a piece of paper inside explaining what everything is?
Weird.
Glad it wasn't damaged. Also glad I didn't decide to send you a box full of parakeets (That might have been a bit messy when you opened it up)
The LED disc light is nice for workin' in yer car, it's got two settings, and a magnet on the back, and I just found the velcro pad for it on my living room table this morning (I'll send it and a few other goodies when I get a chance)
Use the velcro thingie, and you can REALLY stick it somewhere. It's a good worklight! it's also great if you wanna pretend you're Tony Stark.
The flashlight uses 2 "foo" sized batteries(I gotta look at the type when I get home...)
It's nice and bright. My son decided to turn it on before I sent it...
The "Tribes" book is a good bathroom book. You can get through it pretty quickly. Read that, get inspired, flush, then take a stab at the youtube book.
(maybe you can review books while sitting on the toilet, or do auto repair on the throne...or become the toilet-guru.)
That pen is hiding a little secret inside - the top and bottom screw apart (it also PULLS apart, but that's to change the ink.)
Unscrew it, and then go "oooh, THAT's what it is!"
Now you're EXACTLY like James bond, (minus the suit). You can't store TOO much on it, but it holds a decent amount. You can store pics of your Fiero and other stuff on it. Just like Bond (he has a Fiero, you know...)
Hmmm...
I see that the snake escaped from the box at some point, and I don't see one trace of either of the scorpions...hmph. oh well...
I'll admit,
It's not as 'wacky' as my past SS endeavors, I haven't had a lot of time lately...
Hope you enjoy the stuff!

edit: The bracelet is a men's one, but your wife could wear it...it's unisex.
Thanks again for all the great gifts. So far I have spent a half hour trying to figure this pen out...lol. I dont want to take channel locks to it but I can not get it apart..... lol.
mmm Bacon...I wonder If someone sent me bacon and it got stolen! No just kidding but that pen is so cool where did you get that it would be an awesome gift for my brother!

Sabooo..... Thank you so much for the Christmas gift. I knew your name but didn't know your ID, I had to ask for a hint and when I was told you were on page 2 of the thread I saw you sign off as "Rich" and you mentioned Zionsville.... same as the postage on my gift.
Well worth the wait. Just waiting on good weather to replace bushings & door rollers.
Thanks again Rich.

Your welcome, m8. I actually spent quite a few hours trying to uncover either a wheel center or someone to repro one, but gave up and took the easy way out with the door pin kits. Best wishes for a great new year.

Sabooo, I managed to find 4 repro wheel center stickers...but that's just it...they're just stickers.... no thick plastic face on them..... so now I'm looking for the shiny thick plastic.... LOL
Thanks again...the gift was perfect.
