i have premier but wasn't sure how far SATX was from were i live. will have to google it.
-mike, will have to talk with blake to figure out a good meeting place for everyone.
Talked with Blake he said will be good for meeting up here at my house and my wife is going to make breakfast for the group before we leave. Looks like Blake is picking a very nice way to go lots of curves and hills. Gianina and I might pull of to visit Longhorn caverns after we stop for lunch but will play that by ear.

Blake called me yesterday informing me of the plan, which sounds great.

Registration and $$ sent today! Looking forward to a wonderful weekend next week!
nosrac and fierocarparts... bring anything that runs down to San Antonio... all Fiero enthusiasts are welcome, no matter what they bring... heck... the host President rolls in a Vibe, and one certain AAFO long timer is convinced his 350z is a Fiero re-body.
I seem to recall another Fiero show perinnial favorite coming with his Fiero around his neck...
Just saying that to say, your Fiero being there is secondary to you being there.
----
Now to other matters I've called FieroMark, a new guy named Allan I don't recall meeting before, and replied to the PM's seeking caravan info... I hope that got everyone contacted. If not, here's a generally skinny... open to interpreration and suggestion.
Many of us from NTFC will be caravaning down to SA on Friday morning. The rough plan is to avoid I-35... because many of us hate it... and Spring in Texas is meant for what I call... '8 point font' roads. We will be meeting at the Home Depot in Cleburne at 0815 on Friday April 24th. A club member Mike (F355spider) has invited caravan'ers to eat breakfast at his house in Glen Rose... around 0900. From there we will head to Dublin to tour the Dr.Pepper plant around 1100... then head to Llano via State 16 for BBQ lunch. Depending on the weather we will decide at that point to take scenic curvy roads (sunshine & nice) or find a state cave to tour (rain). Get into San Antonio around sundown.
Sunday might find us with a different adventure on the way home. Already planning it!
Hope this can work into your plans! And like Mike mentioned... if caravan'ers want to dive off and do their own thing... hey, that's great! There's a lot to do and explore in them thar hills... and following the Fiero in front of you might not be the best way to do it!
Blake, I will be taking off later that afternoon. I will try and group up with you guys somewhere along the way. Expect a few dozen calls to find out where you guys are and the best way to meet up with you. If it doesn't work, I will see you at Taco C.

is it rude to quote oneself? I digress, speaking of Sunday adventures, I meant to add this:
CenTexIndy is going to find out by next Tuesday if the Gatesville Drive-In is still going to have Fast & Furious IV next weekend (Sunday the 26th)... IF THEY DO >>> Several of us caravan'ing back from San Antonio after the Round-Up will be going to the Drive In that night. Now I know it would make for a long night, including the drive home... but it sounds like a fun and appropriate setting for a Fiero owner to watch a car movie. But we won't know for certain until next week, keep an eye on this thread if you're interested. I just wanted toget that seed planted.
Tim said if it doesn't work out this time... he might try to coordinate something for another weekend... Star Trek... Terminator... Wolverine... There is also a really good (and reasonably priced!) steakhouse in Gateseville.

Leaving El Paso @ 0500 Firday. Will be the only Fiero coming from this side of the state - it's a long lonely drive! I have been informed that I will stop in Fredericksburg on the way? Hope to be in SA early evening. See you all when we get there!

Jarhead or Blake...do I need to fill out a registration form to show up? I am not sure on this one point. I am not bringing the Fiero (hard to drive one that has no gauges). Help I have to be there cause I crave Taco Cabana and Margaritas. LOL Also I wanted to join ya'll but I'll be lucky to get the wife out of the house here in Arkansas by 9:00 am so it will be I-30 and the dreaded I-35 for me.
Shelby
P.S. If I need to fill out a registration to get a shirt I'll do that.

Does anyone besides me feel silly about going to a Fiero event without a Fiero? ....... it feels awfully silly to me cruising in a Fiero line and you're driving a 98 Dodge truck.
Heh, I hosted the 07 Red River Ruckus and did not even have my own Fiero ready. I was able to ride with other Fiero family. I believe my passenger seat will be empty for any who might like to ride.

From Llano ? I assume into Fredericksburg on Hwy 16. All the way into Kerrville ? (Although Hwy 87 South from Fredericksburg into Comfort on IH 10 will save you 45 miles or so.)

I can meet up with all in Fredericksburg, I am only 28 miles away. What time do you each anticipate getting there ?

Cliff, yeah probably going into Fredericksburg (if it's nice...)... gotta a few tricks up my sleeves I was going to ring you when I got at approximate time... though if it is wet/rainy... we might head to Longhorn or Natural Bridge... which would take us away from you.
As for the route from Kerrville into SA... It aint so much about shaving miles off... but adding curves in. I checked with my convoy, and they seemed to agree! (would you mind PM'ing me your cell TN?... I dropped my phone since R7, and it blew your number out, yo.)
ARFiero... you can reg on site, though it probably does help the organizers to have a head count, or the reg form early to help defray up front costs and all. The posts on page 2 should have the reg form, or maybe PM a show organizer... they would be best able to answer your question. (Rob White, darkwing, sanderson)
Looking forward to meeting you and your family! I am VERY familiar with that haul... I went to college in Searcy... Please don't hold that against me!

My plan is to be in Fredericksburg around noon for lunch. If it works out it would be great if we could slip into the convoy for the run to SA. If not, thats OK. My wife will want to spend some time in Fredericksburg anyway. ANyone got any suggestions for a fun drive from Fredericksburg to SA - off the beatin path so to speak?

Curves eh ? Take 16 all the way into San Antonio. Get some scenery while you are at it. I have taken 16 from the Zapata on the Mexican border to Ft Worth (Stephenville) and the 40 or so miles between Kerrville and Bandera rate at the top ,home town pride aside. My cell is 210 471 1192. Just a reminder. I have a tow dolly if necessary.

Pat, as I suggested above, or, for a little more enjoyment, 16 to just south of Bandera then at the next town (Pipe Creek) make a left on FM1283 and skirt Medina Lake. FM 1283 merges into FM 471 which will take you to Loop 1604. Left/South on 1604 one exit to Hwy 151 which will take you by Sea World. 151 to loop 410 then south to Hwy 90. Then east two exits to the motel.

Just be careful... the Gatesville Po Po seem to be attracted to Fieros rolling with Chrome Dubs.
Well I can't make this. My school is hosting a beach clean-up for Galveston on Saturday, and I'm obligated to go... gives me 4 volunteer hours that I could use.

Thanks for the encouragement, I am still working on my wife so that we can attend. I may be there in my wife’s Toyota 4 runner. I also might take you up on that Fiero ride.

The Gatesville Po Po seem to stop anyone who looks like they can afford a ticket…it’s called “the Gatesville city economic stimulus plan”
Not true at all. I have never gotten a ticket even when I have deserved one. If I let the PD know that everyone is coming there won't be a problem. The officer who pulled over JScott no longer is in our town. We don't need a "Gatesville City Economic Stimuls Plan", as we have plenty of support from Fort Hood and also being the County Seat helps us incredibly. Besides, there are enough Ricers around here to keep the officers plenty busy without harassing the cars who come into town for a club event. I have spoken with the Chief and also the Sheriff on many occasions about what happened the last time and have been assured that the next time the Fieros get together that there will not be a problem (unless of course there is truly a good reason - excessive speed, running red light/stop sign, etc.)
Blake - Ranchers has confirmed that it will not be a problem to seat everyone. I will not be able to join everyone until sometime after 7:00 when all of my youth have left the church.

Double the fun ? Actually, just a little bit of the cruise route part. Besides, you get in a caravan and you usually look at the Fiero in front of you. Some too slow, some too fast. Hard to take in the scenic beauty. FYI .... Fredericksburg bound. Next weekend, they will be doing a battle re-enactment at the Pacific War theater which is part of the Admiral Nimitz museum.

I have to say that was the one time I can honestly say 100% certain that I was pulled over for no good reason. I have been let go many times when I know I was speeding or rolled through a stop sigh, but in Gatesville, I was trying my best to not get pulled over because I knew he was right behind me. I'm glad to hear that particular officer is no longer in town.
This week I'm going to get my car ready... First show in 3 years.

Cliff, had looked into that... I have seen it before and it was fantastic... but I think the re-enactments were this weekend...
Was it bad weather or something?... maybe delayed?... If it is on for next weekend... this is something that everyone should see.

They were this past weekend but I heard on the radio they would (?or might?) do it next weekend also. I'll check today.

I'm not sure. I have not seen it. Some of us went to The Admiral Nimitz museum Sunday of the Kerrville Ruckus. They have an outdoor Pacific War Theater (as in theater of operation) a block or so away. I saw a tracked water landing craft which carried the soldiers from ship to shore, I saw a pill box which the Japs used to defend the shores, I saw flame throwers. I am guessing a storming of the beach would be one aspect. I checked and there is no re-enactment this coming weekend. Any who have not seen the Admiral Nimitz museum that can, should. Well worth the $7.00. They even have one of the mini subs which penetrated Pearl Harbor. Also a PT boat like Kennedy captained.

Where at ? Many good places. Not that I am an expert but I can recommend the Fredericksburg Brewing Company. Check out their restaurant link.

I have an 84 SE with the driver side glass panel shattered. Is it an SE ? Does anyone have an 86 2M4 coupe ? The seats of that model ? I have a very good seat back with good upholstery. Grey in color. I also only have one. The actual seat back is the passengers side but the cover is interchangeable.
