I would like coins numbered 1, 2 and 3 if at all possible. They will be for my kids.
Synthesis from PFF Name is B.F. Johnson ( ) Address is: **************** Paypal is ************ 3 coins, at 8.28 each. Total of 24.84. I added shipping, and rounded the difference up to 30 bucks even to cover the paypal fees for you.

If you decide to use numbers other than the tracking numbers they will no longer be trackable and there will be no price difference. If you are fine with that I will find out what the maximum number of charactors is allowed. It will probably be Monday during business hours before I can get a definate answer. I am pretty sure that six are allowed since most tracking numbers are six charactors long. To reinterate, if you choose personalized numbering/lettering, your coin will be personalized but NOT trackable.
Per my request for numbers 1, 2 and 3, I want them trackable, I just want the first three that come out. LOL

Synthesis, the numbers will likely be something like GC4681. I will try to make sure that you get consecutive tracking numbers with the last numbers 1,2 and 3. We will likely not get something like GC0001, GC0002, etc. I get whatever tracking numbers groundspeak gives me.
Tomorrow I will organize and post the current state of our order when I get to a proper computer instead the pda that I am using now.

That would be perfect for me.
Thank you so much for doing this. You already have a + from me.

I received an email from geocaching.com approving the design of our coin. We will be using using the front and back shown in the first post of page 1. Thanks to everyone who sent ideas.
We have the funds now to obtain the tracking numbers (once I know how many we will need) and put down the deposit to begin creating our dies.
Tracking numbers are issued twice a week. Bryan from Groundspeak said that they run them on Wed and Fri.
It could take several weeks for tooling, minting and shipping. As you can see it is important to get things finallized on our end as soon as possible.

Just a reminder for those of you who would like to order coins or have yet to send your funding.
( I had already rated you)Synthesis+ and Fierostarvin, thank you for the extra for paypal fees. I hadn't really conscidered that when I started the project but I really do appreciate it. Thanks to those who have made my life easier with regard to shipping refunds as well. Thank you Sage and cornersonrails. I hope I am not forgetting anybody. (Its late and I probably am. If I did it was not intentional).

Just sent the money for my five. If there is any money left after shipping just keep it. I did not consider the paypal fees so I will send you a few more dollars.

For those of us who geocache it will be fun to add these coins to my Watch List at www.geocaching.com and see where they go. I can't wait to someday find one that belongs to one of you and pass it along.
One of my coins will have a mission to travel around North America for a year and have people take photos of it with their cars, hopefully a Fiero Meet or two, then travel to the Netherlands and eventually end up in the hands of Cliff Pennock. (Cliff, if and when you find it, its yours to keep if you like).

Race... do you know about G-A-S?... the Go & Show?... there is going to be a scrapbook or something that starts off at the head of Route 50 (Maryland or Deleware or somesuch)... and traverses the length of the US to San Fran CA,... a 3week journey or so... stops and activities all along the way.
You should check in with Cheever3000 to get this added to the great GAS!

That could be cool. If I am not working the week they go through Missouri I may make the drive.
Edited this morning: I was looking at sample coins from our manufacturer's page and I am so glad that we decided to go with the two-sided epoxy. Both coins look great but the epoxy ones are awesome. I can't wait to get one into my hands.

I received word back from the manufacturer about the total number of letters, digets and spaces that we can have if we choose to make our coins personalized but NOT trackable. In order to not have the engraving box get too long we are going to limit it to 8 spaces. An example would be "88 Fiero" = 7 alphanumeric characters and one space. I plan on giving one to my dad that says 87 Fiero.
Thanks

I like having the lettering on the ring below the box like that. Otherwise I would like to keep the coin as clean as possible. With this many people having sent money I really don't want to change the coin any more than is required. Thanks for you effort. If there is space I will use your tracking text idea.

I need to hear back from a few people that I sent pm's to about custom lettering and get a few more payments. After that I will start moving money and making things happen.

One of the moderators at the geocaching forum had an issue started asking about having permission to use the Fiero logo and was wondering about possible trademark issues.
In response I have spent the morning on the phone with GM and finally got through to their product licensing firm. Hopefully I will hear back in the next few hours so that we can move forward. There will be no price difference to any of you if they require a fee. I will take care of it unless it costs as much as a car.

No, I just wanted to remove the carrot for people who might come late and ask if they could still get it on the deal now that the quantity is frozen. There is nothing worse than not meeting people's expectations. I don't want to get any negs for not letting somebody in at this point.
I don't foresee this last issue as something that will cause much of a delay or cause any real issue. All I have to do is satisfy the people who are issuing the tracking numbers. A bump in the road.

I just came in here to see where we were on this. The last time I looked, 2-3 weeks ago, you had not even decided on a design. I had stated I would take 12, but the way I understand it you are not taking anymore orders. If you can clairify that for me.
