If anyone who ordered multiple coins would like to give up on 1 of them, I would like to buy just 1. I am not wanting to buy it from you. I would like you to give up the 1 coin and I will buy it from RACE.

There are only 5 people who haven't sent money for their coins so far. I have committed to buy them from the manufacturer. If there ends up being some non payers I will be offering the unpaid for coins to get my money back but that will be down the road.
I will start a list of people who would like in on the next round of ordering. I will not be taking new orders until this first order is done. That way I can get a good idea of what the actual cost was after paypal and the postal service fees.
This is the list of people who have contacted me about coins. I will make it the 1st alternate list for this order and roll you over to the next order #2 when this one is complete. (This is in no way a commitment to purchase by the member, only interest expressed). Turnaround time from order to coin-in-hand will likely be less than 1 month from now on since the groundwork for this project has been done during round 1.
AusFiero I prefer to ship only to the US but if you are willing to pay the international fees I will be happy to work with you. Cheever3000 JimmyS
We can now order in batches of 50 or more. When this project started we had to order them in 100s to get tracking numbers. March 4th they changed it to 50. We save $0.50 per coin by ordering 100 or more. It adds up quickly.
Fierofreak00, got it. Thank you.
The only thing we are waiting on is the group's approval of the final version of this side of the coin.
Since the first of you have unanimously said to use this one so far (See bottom of Page 4) I will tell the coin company to produce it unless I hear differently in the next two days.

#1 it is. What we have done here is remarkable. Tomorrow we officially launch production!
Many of you have thanked me for heading up this project. I accept your thanks but return them back to each of you who have made it happen. It is a Fiero forum member who created the artwork, and it is the awesome group on Page 1, post 1, who provided the financial fuel and creative input that helped guide the final look of the coin.
I appreciate patience and flexibility that you have all granted me. It has been a learning curve and there have been many changes along the way. Never once did a single person send me a single negative pm or reply to any post. I may have received a couple of "-"s but if I have earned one from you because of all the changes please revisit your rating of me when you have your coin in-hand. I will be worth it in the end. Either way, I am proud of what we have accomplished so a couple of negative ratings will not detract from the achievement.
Most of all I am honored by the faith that has placed in me. In a time when money is tight we have come together to create something that we will always be proud of. I look forward to the day when each of you receive your coins.
Thank you,
Kenton

I have received the tracking numbers and I will be sending them to the manufacturer. I had expected them to be sequential but they are pretty random like a alpha-numeric program generated them.
Annie from Groundspeak is really cool. I haven't said anything about this until now because I wanted it to be a small surprise but she granted my request that our Pontiac Fiero geocoin tracking numbers all start with PF. - I thought it would be a nice touch.
Synthesis, the best that I can do for you as far as sequential numbering goes is to send you coins with the last digits ending in 1, 2, and 3. What comes between PF and the last number will be totally random. I was at their mercy as far as tracking numbers go.
Update: I have forwarded the tracking numbers to the manufacturer along with our personalized engraving list. The entire project is now in their hands. Now we wait for production to be completed and our order to ship.
Thanks again to everybody who has participated in this project.

I just spoke with Kelly from the manufacturer. She said that the process of creating the dies and completing production will take around three weeks. After that engraving will take another week. My earlier estimate of mid-May looks like it seems to be holding.

I have received the invoice and it is time to pay the manufacturer. I have enough money in the pot to pay them but I still need a few people to send me their funds and shipping addresses.
About two weeks ago I sent out pm's to those who have not paid yet. If your name on page 1 does not show that you have paid please do so at this time. That money will be required when it comes time for me to ship the coins out. I am floating about $160 until the last 5 people pay.
V V PM sent. V V

The manufacturer sent an email to ask if I wanted black paint inside of the engraved charactors or not. What do you all think? I would like to let them know by Friday if there is a general preferance. They will all have paint or none of them. Let me know. I am leaning tward paint since the coin will be covered in epoxy but will go with the group's preferance.

I'm not sure what you mean. Are you talking about the letters in the red circle area, or the black area? I prefer it to look just like the picture.
The letters in the engraved portion (in the photo, where the XXX is located). This is where the tracking numbers will be engraved. Painting the recessed letter portions black will help with visibility, and when the epoxy is on the coin, will enhance the look.
In the photo, the XXX is already black... That is what it will look like, with the tracking number in place.

Painted it is. Thanks for stepping up to answer questions while I was unavailable Synthesis. I have been away from the computer since I posted this. (I did get to do a really cool hike to the top Table Rock in Boise though.)
I will update the paid list later this evening.

Were you in Boise for the Race to Robey Creek? The view from Table Rock is great.

Payment in full has been made. The coins have an estimated completion date of 5/8. Packaging and shipping will happen soon thereafter. I will let you know as soon as the coins arrive at my house. I am looking forward to hearing that the first of you have received your coins.

No, I didn't even know about it. I was on a layover with my crew. The rest of them didn't feel up to the challenge. My First Officer regretted not going after he heard how much fun I had.
I found 5 geocaches and hiked about eight miles. There are a ton of them up there. I was saving some for future trips. I also wanted to make sure that I got down before sunset. I went in near the golf course went to the top at the cross and came out by the old prison. It was a blast.

Our coins have left the building. See Page 1, Post 1, of this thread for current shipping information.
I am still waiting on funding from following three people. I will hold your coins until the end of the month. After that I will need to recover the money if they have not been paid for. They will at first be offered to the people who showed up too late to order and expressed interest. If they are not all spoken for by then I will offer them in the Mall on June 1.
I was up until 1:00 last night sorting coins and pairing them with their owners, tracking numbers and actiavtion codes. Once that is complete I will verify the accuracy of each person's order and will begin shipping them out. I anticipate having them all in the the mail tomorrow.
Only 12 coins are unpaid right now. I will hold unpaid coins until June 1, then I will offer them in the order that I have received requests.
I just got done with the verifying the accuracy of everyone's orders. It has taken nearly 10 hours to get everything sorted, checked and ready. I get one chance to make sure that the orders are right and my reputation is on the line so it has to be perfect.
Tomorrow I will buy padded envelopes and send them all out. You will not believe how well these are made. It was fun having all of the coins spread across the bar in my basement as I organized them. I feel like a proud papa. I can't wait for the day when I will find one of your coins in a geocache.
Thank you all for being a part of this project. I just went through and gave a + to everyone who was a part of making this project happen. If your rating didn't change it is because your were already a + in my book and there were several. To me that says a lot about this group of people. There is one guy who is now a + by me. (I don't have many negs and didn't even remember giving it). At any rate, let me know what you think of them when they hit your doorstep.
If you read nothing else please read this.
DO NOT PLACE YOUR COINS IN A GEOCACHE UNTIL YOU HAVE ACTIVATED THE TRACKING NUMBERS. DO NOT PLACE YOUR COINS IN A GEOCACHE UNTIL YOU HAVE ACTIVATED THE TRACKING NUMBERS. DO NOT PLACE YOUR COINS IN A GEOCACHE UNTIL YOU HAVE ACTIVATED THE TRACKING NUMBERS.
No doubt somebody will. I tried. I even used the most annoying thing ever, all caps.
You will find the activation codes on the paperwork enclosed with your coins. Paring the coins with their tracking number and owner is what has taken so long to organize them. You will need to register and become a member at www.geocaching.com then click on Trackable Items on the left side of the homepage. From there you can activate your tracking numbers using the activation codes provided on your paperwork.
That is all for tonight. I'm going to bed.
