-But I'm not, and I won't get home from my trip until Tuesday evening. Sorry, work has to come first. I will package and ship them as soon as I can. It is killing me to know that they are right there and I can't do anything about it.
I am in Memphis about to board a delayed flight to Des Moines. We are only a couple of hours away from our first look at the coins of the Geocoin 2 project! ^5!
First of all, those of you who ordered the BWG coins will be extremely happy. They are really, really good. I don't know why we were worried about having a white coin. The BBS coins look great t
I will get some better photos up later. I have been gone for nearly a week and I have a few things that I have to do. Some of the coins will go out in the mail tomorrow as I get time to package your orders.
Edit: Fixed the link

I have done in three hours what it took two evenings to do last time using a different system. All of the coins have been bagged up according to owner. Tomorrow I will put them in their shipping envelopes and mail them.
There were two problems. IwanaIRM one of your coins has extra spaces in the engraving. It reads "Iwana I RM". JenzGT2 your coin has an unwanted space in the engraving after the point, "5. 3....". I have contacted Kelly at the manufacturer to figure out a soloution. We should hear back from her tomorrow.
IwanaIRM, I have updated your mailing address in my computer at home and it should not be a problem.
You guys are going to love these. Especially those who did not order coins the first time.
I am going to bed. Good night.

All coIns will be in the in the mail tomorrow morning. The first coins should start arriving in your mailboxes on Friday. Please post here when they arrive. I would like to know that you got them and what you think. Also let me know if there are any issues with your orders not previously mentioned. I have not heard back from Kelly yet about the 2 coins with engravings with that have extra spaces. (JensGT2 and IwanaIRM). Btw, Fierosmith your name was not shortened. They used a smaller font to make it fit.
Thanks everybody for sticking with me through this project. The coins look great and I am very proud of how they turned out, especially the BWG coin. This truely is a group effort. Without the pooling of our resources it could not happen.
-Sneak peek- I have the next coin type already specked out. In my opinion it will be the ultimate Fiero Geocoin. No time will be wasted choosing colors and only one type will be offered. I am going to probably wait until after the holidays to do another project though. It will be slightly more expensive and for now I am only planning on a run of around 50 coins. The promise of a fast turn-around should finally happen next time.

No orders have been taken and there is always room for more. It will be a while before I am going to do another run though. I will send a pm to all current Geocoin 2 participants when I make the initial post for Geocoin 3, probably in January or February. It could happen sooner if there is enough demand. I am open to anything.
For Geocoin 3, I want the order to have a 7 day deadline for ordering, receive payment (paypal only) no later than the 8th day, then off to production. The per unit cost will be based upon a production run of 50 coins, so each one will be $0.50 more. Runs of 100 or more don't have the $0.50/coin low production fee but I have found that there are enough core people here to easily order around 65 coins with no lag time. Drawn out orders are not good. They will not happen again.
Btw, if you are members here at the forum and would like to have a run of coins made for your individual Fiero club or event, I can make that happen, just give me enough lead time. The same 1.75" dies will be used since they have been reviewed and approved by EMI. (GM's legal department) Choose your colors, metal and finish of the base coin and engraving. 50 coins minimum are required by the factory for production to begin. Click here then scroll down to see the available options. I do insist on two-sided epoxy.
Off to the Post Office.
Edit / Update. Your coins are on their way care of the United States Postal Service and in a couple of incidences the Canadian equivalent very shortly.
IwanaIRM and Jenz, I received word back from Kelly. She said that she is working on having the coins corrected at this time. It looks like you may be getting an extra coin for free.
The coins with their travel assignments on the way to the Post Office.
Here is the receipt from the Post Office.

Did you see the note above about your coin and IRM's? I have one more for each of you on the way. The engraving needed fixed. They are making it for us right now. No charge to you. I will cover the shipping.
I can't wait to see who gets their coins first.

I know I will have mine in the morning. Mail delivery from your town to mine is overnight for sure. I look forward to the mail tomorrow. I have both the geocoin 1 and 2, I'm in for a pair on the next round too. Have to keep the collection going.
Kenton -- I thank you for all your work and efforts in making this happen. It brings out in all of us coin recepients a sort of belonging. Thanks again take care and as Mr Spock would say " Live long and prosper " .... Count me in for Round 3 " BlkWidow "
Woo Hoo! They do look nice. I think I like the white one better than the blue one. I figured I would like the blue one better, but having them side by side makes it easy to decide. Thanks Kenton, You did a great job again.

I received my coins today.......another happy customer checking in. I will be in for the next and probably all future runs. Thanks again for doing this.
I am glad to see that you all are starting to receive your coins.
If this is your first geocoin and you ordered one with a tracking number you will need to activate it to make it trackable. Become a member of www.geocaching.com (It is free). Then click the Trackable Items link on the left side of the homepage and follow the directions. It will ask you for your tracking number and activation code that is included in your order. From there you can customize your coin's information page.
I have a coin from the last run that I listed it's mission as returning to my home town. If i ever send it out, in theory it should eventually come back home. One of my other coins was supposed to eventually make it's way to Cliff but it was lost/stolen from the first cache that I put it into. The entire cache vanished, never to be seen again. That is the risk that you take if you use them for their intended purpose.
When you register your coin it will give you a separate tracking number that you can post and not give out the actual tracking number of your coin. Please post that number in the thread so that the rest of us can enter your coin in our watch list to see it's current location.
